Steem N' Roses: My Response to the Attacks on the SBI Community as a Whole
Introduction
This video - this one here - is meant to be played along with "Guns and Roses - Get in the Ring." (Instead of the names in the songs being who is spoken about and/or to, insert your own choice names when those names come up 8-)

I'm sitting here thinking about what we can do about this abuse. I'm not in favor of letting anyone downvote me just because they feel like it, even if they have the "right" to do so. I liken it to a dog pissing and/or shitting on my floor. Yes, the dog has a right to shit and piss. That is its right. However, this does NOT mean that dog can shit and piss wherever the fuck it feels like, except in extreme circumstances like it is sick, or dying, or bleeding out on the floor and can't help itself, or I've locked it in a tiny room for days on end because I'm sick in the head, or etc. No, sir, the dog has to learn where it is proper to piss and shit and where it is not proper to piss and shit.
Now, here is the thinking that we know about your types. They talk. They think we, the little people at the bottom who suffer under the weight of their foot, the little people at the bottom who do most of the hard labor, the little people at the bottom who are considered worthless to them because we're not at the top of the food chain, don't know what they're up to.
Our research and intelligence says otherwise, as you have seen from the -They talk- video directly above this paragraph. My, oh my, oh my, oh my ... What are we to do against someone so ________(insert word that fits) as you?
Then it struck me!
You see, @mmmmkkkk311, us little people down here at the bottom usually are more generous with what we have. Maybe that is because we understand what it is like to struggle day in and day out while you guys there at the top live your extravagant lives and punish and blame us for not being afforded the privileges you were born into.
So, what I did was, and this is from a homeless person, bought 200 people @sbi shares, names found below. If only 5% of them join me on this mission and then the 5% of those 5% join us on this mission and then those 5% get another 5% to join us on this mission, then your mindless, inconsiderate, aggressive, absolutely rediculous downvotes will almost mean absolutely freaking nothing.
May I get a "HELL YEAH!" from the crowd, please?
I must thank you, @mmmmkkkk311. Without this little kick in the ass, I would have never come up with the idea to do this. Honestly. Look at my comments feed. I'm fairly quiet and don't say a lot. But, when some _______ (insert another word that fits) comes along and starts fucking with me without being in the right, I lose my fucking mind and go off like a barn full of fireworks being lit on fire!
Furthermore, all of the liquid steem earned from this post will go toward more @sbi shares to help out more people.

Haha! I'm definitely on the shit list @josephsavage. He hit me at %100 dv this time, which I suppose is going to be the new normal for a while. However, with the support this community has shown toward @sbi, you, and, recently, me, I believe I'm get through it.
Is there a list of active members? I'm not done with purchasing @sbi, I just had to take a break from all of the copy and pasting.
Easiest way to put a list of active members together would be check a few days of vote history. If you wanted to focus more on active members that get votes less frequently because their subscription level is still low, I could put something together if you message me on Discord.
@tristancarax, I'll do this, too! Joseph, if you send me a list of a hundred users with <10 SBI, but who are posting regularly, I'll get them all a share!

@tristancarax, Sometimes True Expression becomes must because we are surrounded with lot of Pre-Judgements. People are looking for Decentralised Structure when they act Centralised ways.
I don't Judge anybody but in my opinion for some Downvoting is a game but for me it's not because i am coming from the place of all kind of struggles. I am full time Steemian and this journey awakened me because on this space i got to know about my passion and that helping me to move forward in both Bear and Bull Market conditions.
Here we are seeing change and that change is, connecting with people and with their stories on Emotional levels and collectively becoming small helping hand if fellow human being is in the tough phase,that's the meaning of Community.
I don't know how many hold the same perspective, but at the end of the day we are living a Illusionary life and by that i mean we think that we are Owners but it's never a reality because we are just a visitors on this planet and we have a choice to spread goodness or mess. When it's a choice then let's walk on the path of goodness, let's understand people, let's learn to see people beyond any numbers.
We will see both goodness and negativity but at the end of the day we have a choice to spread a kind action which can literally fill life of people with happiness or one negative action which keep people into depressing phase. And Human Beings so sensitive beings and sometimes people never understand that one negative word or action can sabotage the happiness of fellow being.
I don't know if you are right or wrong but i want to appreciate your true reflection. Stay blessed.
When I first started going to Qi Gong/Taijiquan class, my teacher would always bring this up. He has worked hard, as well as I, to free me from the Western ways of thinking, which is an either/or system, to a holistic way of thinking, which is a both/and system.

Yup. I think almost everyone owns SBI. He seems to be going after all he can. I was quite shocked that his SP increased so much.
Has he even explained what he doesn't like about SBI?
He sees it as a bitbot. He also downvote what he sees as trading bots x)

I thought I would ignoring the downvotes problem and the silly arguments of those who caused it, but even this is a great way of dealing with it. We say "take the bull by the horns".

Let's go on, our way of using Steemit has always been based on the content and creativity of the human mind: fiction, poetry, music ... the economic side is secondary and functional to the continuation of this cultural activity. Whoever makes money the main question will be defeated despite the downvotes and the weight they can put on it.

Contest runners are all getting these big downvotes now. He's also got some kind of an "in" with steemcleaners and is voting for comments on the burn posts. He will not get anymore author rewards, but he comment rewards are still 30+ sp a day.
This is interesting to keep in mind. Someone needs to go after his comments feed then.

Your words remind me of all the values we stand for and are also a great source of inspiration (being you the official community inspirer we couldn't expect anything different!). I might write lot of things but I want to say that we are way bigger than this Steemit, we are humans with projects and passion and flesh and blood and what we have here is just a tool to express ourselves, not more not less. Let's not let a simple medium to take our humanity, our true selves, away for the sake of another shitty hierarchic and pyramidal order. We have enough of them in real life. What did @josephsavage create? A way to express solidarity and a hope of growth even for those that don't own to a golden whale's circlejerk. The Bananafish used and uses the @steembasicincome for a little of self-funding. So far, during all the account's existence, we just distributed upvotes and rewards between writers, thanks to our many contests. We created loads of good content with our fiction stories and poetry. Are we abusing of the platform? I don't think so. Yet, there's this self proclaimed hero that believes we need a flag. Go on, we don't give a shit because you know what? A story, a poetry, any expression of art and humanity lives beyond your little thinking and also beyond this simple box called Steemit. Bravo, Tristan. I can just add that we don't vote in a circle. We upvote the artistic production of everyone participating in our initiatives and also we selfvote because of funding reasons. This community account gives 100% for the members of our open community. We have been helped by witnesses because we create real content and not shitposts, but at the moment the money to run it come exclusively from @f3nix (because I enjoy) + there are the delegations of our core members (because they enjoy too). Everyone else get free steem and upvotes.

A pyramid scheme makes money by taking finances from the bottom and putting them into the pockets above them. It doesn't generate revenue on its own. This is why they inevitably collapse.
steembasic income rewards STEEM through upvoting. STEEM that is given out is immediately given back, in portions, over time. I think the number is 6 months that you break even, assuming you continue to post on the STEEM blockchain.
The point is, that SBI guarantees revenue to those who 'invested'. The creation of more STEEM through upvoting content is a form of revenue generation ('mining' the STEEM blockchain). For this reason it can't be called a pyramid scheme IMO.
The creator could of course power down and run off with the STEEM, and then people lose their guaranteed SBI, and assuming that everyone did not get 100% of the STEEM they invested back, then it could be called scammy. But they haven't done then, and me personally I've made all the STEEM I put in, and then some.

Thanks for the support! We balance the SP backing each unit with a sustainability metric to keep reward levels as high as sustainability allows.
That does mean thst full earn back of subscription costs takes longer than six months (more like a couple of years), but it prevents the implied leverage of using lease delegations from accidentally toppling us into Ponzi territory.

Actually we don't guarantee revenue, we only guarantee upvotes. Whether those convert into revenue at payout is beyond our control. We have always resisted making promises of actual returns, and when estimates have been given, they are always given as depending on STEEM price and reward pool behavior.
In fact, the earliest criticisms raised by whales were because we did not guarantee any level of returns.
SBI is more like earmarking SP for dedicated support of accounts you choose. We can't guarantee that the support has any value, any more than you can guarantee that an upvote on this comment will have any value after it gets countered by mmkk. In most cases the support will have value, of course.

Spot on, @dirge. The @steembasicincome program has been (volunterily?) misunderstood by this troll and his friends. People make an investment through it and expects a ROI. I've always heard that whales can do what they believe is good for defending their investment, being the main stakeholders and backbone of steem, including selfvoting and circlejerking. We are stakeholders in the steembasicincome program and we just defend our initial allocation of resources. Then there's the other face of the medal which is that of solidarity and basic income vision. I believe that Steem is pure turbo-capitalism and, hence, the unavoidable inequality. @steembasicincome is a legitimate correction where the many join together.

I don't think your case is directly sbi related because I don't see a % of crypto taken away even though there are dv on your posts. You haven't lost anything. Mmkk is now supposedly going after only those who sponsor others with a sbi share.
People, since the new update, can dv at will just about but I wouldn't worry about it too much, yet at least. People with power tend to go a bit nutty.

It's funny what sort of things have been coming to mind while going on this crazy adventure. The overwhelming responses to my post, the many responses by the community in other areas in support of SBI, the things that have come forth about @josephsavage, the blatant attacks without any evidence to back up claims made - these are the things that make me want to take a stand. I'm willing to see this to the end so I committed myself further.
I've never been very good at staying down when being stepped on.
I'm here to support another 200 hundred of you. So, according to this post, I'll be DVed well over 100%. I'm wondering if you guys will join me because what I find extremely funny is imagining him going through 200 people who support sbi and DVing us. However, if one does the math, he can't hit us all if we all do at least 20 sbi (which is equal to a couple of dollars at the time of writing this) or more and the time and energy it takes to do that makes it all the more funny to me. What about you? - Maybe send one sbi to each person you send it to so he has to count! This is so very funny to me.
Maybe you can't do that. My best guess is you're already doing the best that you can with what you are working with. Maybe you can help in other ways. I happened to be wandering around on Steem this evening and saw where you had sent me some SBI. And then I saw why. I am one of the little fish that has amazing original content (my own opinion of course) and is excited when I can get a post to have more than just a few dollars worth of upvotes on it. I have been gifted sbi in multiple contests and through community support in communities that support me because my content is original. I have sponsored my teenage homeschool children with sbi because i support them using this platform to create substantive original content instead of flaky shallow social media crap. Now one of the communities I am in is being attacked for using sbi by the mmmmk dude, but hes clearly just being a jerk to use his downvoting power to pick on groups like ours that are using sbi to reward original content and to help each other out. I mean, if he was only downvoting sbi being used as support for crap content, I could understand, but that's not the case. So,I was inspired by your post here and your actions. I did not send you any sbi @tristancarax because you have plenty, and I am such a small fish I could only spend 6 steem on sbi shares today. What I did instead was send 6 steem total to sponsor three steem users. Original content is of course a non-negotiable critera here, so it's not really how I decided who I could help. The first person I sponsored was @reinaldoverdu because I saw his comment on here and I know damn good and well anyone in Venezuela deserves as much help as the rest of the world can give them to survive the current state of affairs. I know for me that when I started getting an sbi vote, no matter has small it was, that made me happy that I was getting some support from somewhere. This place can seem pretty empty at first. After time, people are willing to give for someone else's work. Most of us don't make what we are worth, but the little amount that we do get may make our day and help us continue to improve day by day.

As many of you know, mmmkkk is still at it with his relentless attacks on the SBI community. Thus far, purchasing more SBI hasn't worked as planned because most of us don't have that kind of coin to outdo his downvoting, even with the small amount of SBI we are getting.
So, here is another plan of action.
His SP is 176,188.511. If 400 SBI users delegate 500SP to me, that equals 200,000; which is enough to balance out his attacks.
Delegate to me however much you can and will (every cent helps!), I will go through and upvote the buyers of SBI (currently mmmkkk's only targets). - Delegations are better because that will ensure that people get something. Since I am currently using my voting power down to 80% daily, an upvote may not help if you've set a limit.
In addition, if you will follow my upvoting trail, that will help to further negate mmmkkk's attacks on the community.
One more addition, if you will follow my downvoting trail, which will only be used against mmmkkk and others who attack the SBI community, I will go through and DV his posts and comments when they crop up. This, I do believe, will also lower his ratings within the steemit blockchain if there are enough of us.
I will be altering my current voting trail a bit if you will help me make this plan of action happen.
If the above plan doesn't happen, then I'm afraid I have to stop because I don't have the power to take him head-on like this alone. His DV really do hurt.

Hey Tristan, I don't really like the "mmmkk" action either... There are always meddlesome people, who believe in the power to disturb the productivity and entrepreneurship of others and have the right to decide what is better or worse and set their rules and regulations. They have a lot of strength and it is complicated to face from modesty (as it always happens in life) to the "big fish". However, I think it's a laudable start of freedom for you, so I'm going to support you with a few hundred SPs. You'll tell me later in Discord how your approach works. Because it really annoys me that there are always people who try to place themselves above others, or feel they have the right to decide for others (as, again, happens in life -stupid humans... :D).

If I delegate, does my own voting power sink? Even with
my upvote is a worthless one-cent "dust" vote. I've powered up several times now and did have a 2-cent upvote but that dwindled. Thank you for doing this and I will delegate if I have enough SP to do so.

Yes, your VP will be a little less. The good news is, if you get SBI shares then you'll get like a 2 cent upvote from me (lol). However, when more people join, my VP will get stronger. I wish to at least negate what mmkk. DV's.

My VP is already one cent; how much lower would it go? A few months ago I delegated 50 SBI to a newbie, @mvkean, which gave him the same one cent upvote I had/still have--so I continue to ponder this move. At some point, the 400 SBI would be returned to me, right? So many groups ask us to delegate to them, and I never have the right apps to make that happen (I've tried - @classicalmusic and so many other groups, I've tried!).
It's so easy, everyone tells me, yet I continue to flounder with techno-difficulties in all areas of Steemit.

I think you meant that you delegated 50 SP to @mvkean, as can be found here in the delegations tab. I use steemworld to set up delegations. Also, if you take a look, your delegation made some coin, as all delegations do. So yes, while you lose some VP, you're delegation still earns you something. (Unless I completely misunderstand how that thing works. I'm not so great at all this coding stuff either, lol).
You can always take back your delegation of SP (SBI is different for SP). It takes about 5-7 days to get back. All that you do is set the amount to zero and the program with ask you if you want to end your delegation.

While I am sympathetic (as you well know from past exchanges) to what you propose, I won't be supporting it in any meaningful way. Why? A fair question that I would ask, if our roles were reversed ...
Honestly, I could write a post in response, but the "Reader's Digest" version is reluctantly but decisively reaching my own conclusion about the state of our Steem blockchain. As much as I despise the disproportionate nature of DVing and UVing anyone, for whatever reason, it "is what it is" and neither you nor I have sufficient uhhh ... "resources" to do anything about it.
I made my own appeal to address this problem and got absolutely zero response to it. The "big boys" hold the power to affect change and most do precious little of it beyond the usual "human nature" WIIFM response that is as old as time ...
Bottom line: While you and I and a few others could band together, it would take a much, much larger response than I have ever seen assembled "in here" to have any real effect. If anyone is going to attempt it, Joseph himself needs to make the appeal and, even then, I read so many arguments that are either anti-SBI or "I'm staying safely on the sidelines" that even he would be unlikely to prevail ...
Sorry this may (likely) be received as a "downer," but I owe you a response vs. the much more typical "crickets chirping" response that is far too often what you or I (or most everyone) gets in response.
That said, until "next time," I genuinely wish you well in whatever you choose to do going forward. Both "in here" and much more importantly "out there" in the real world.

I have not checked to see what he is doing for a while now. Thus far, because I've not purchased any SBI, he has left me alone. I also haven't been writing very much lately. My focus is going to get back to more writing as it is a great practice to keep up with.
