Football | | Fixing Issues Relating To SportTalkSocial Community

I would start by saying, "incase you are only interested in the section "Fixing Issues Relating To SportTalkSocial", kindly read the top content before the main introduction, and move down to the conclusion. But if you feel you can go through everything, that would be great.

It has been a while now, since i last made a sport post, due to the irregularity of contents coming in the sport community, one would be tired of making post most times. I see sport to be part of me, most especially football.

I would say that it is a talent, but no, it is not. The passion makes it different.

I was'nt even sure of the title of this post, but i guess that fits in a little. You might be wondering where would a sport writer possibly be for almost a month ?. Well i have been busy in other communities, generating contents that are well appreciated. I have also learnt lots of things from the time spent, like post structuring and using of proper writing tools.

Introduction Of Today's Post

Without wasting much time on too many talks, let's get down to business. I usually write content on football, because i see it as a true sporting activity. Football has being loved by so many, which i belief is the most watched sporting activity in the world.

The feelings, emotions and passions that comes with football, is something that football fans can't really explain. Having a team that you support, playing in the final of a competition, makes you feel as if you are part of those that are on the pitch.

Screenshot_20230701-214019_1.jpgSource

So many times, i have always imagined my country winning a world cup trophy, which i doubt if it will ever happen, due to the partial acts in scouting good players to represent us. We can easily identify some players, who don't deserve a call-up to a national team, we just see them feeling spaces for righteous sake.

Lets dive a little into England

Currently, i can boldly say that "England has the best league football in the world", which is called the english premier league. This league is regarded as the hardest league so far, due to the its competitive attention it creates among clubs and fans.

The english premier league, which houses only 20 teams per season, requires hardwork and good team spirit from all clubs, inorder to remain at the top. The last three(3) teams at the bottom of the league table, that fails to fight their way out, would be relegated to the lower division of the football league(EFL).

Last season was one of the best season in the history of the english premier league, as the league recorded more goals in a single season than other previous seasons. With some clubs like arsenal, newcastle, brentford, manchester united, etc, stepping up to challenge other big teams in the league.

We've always known manchester city to be a very big team in the league, having quality players on and off the pitch.

Some times, when my club plays against city, i am usually scared, due to the squad depth of city.

With the quality players in manchester city, we saw them securing a treble title, which are the english title, fa cup and the uefa champions league.

A team like arsenal, was totally impressive last season, as we saw them fighting for a title with a young squad of players. Arsenal where the second club, with the most youngest players in the english competition last season. With their good football mentality, we saw lots of comeback during games that where almost lost.
We noticed how drained the young gunners where, towards the end of the season, loosing matches that where suppose to be a straight win. Lack of quality players on the bench came to hunt them towards the end of the season. Unfortunately, they bottle the league.

We also saw how newcastle where able to secure a champions league spot, by contending very well against others. After the club was been bought last season, newcastle stepped up their game, with their quality manager Eddie Howe.

What about transfer activities ?

From all the experience of last season, most clubs like arsenal and manchester united have learnt the very need of having quality players on the bench.
The transfer window is a date, when football clubs can buy players from other clubs. Sometimes, this players leave as free agent, to join other clubs.

Personally, i have been monitoring transfer activities for sometime now, so i would be dropping some deals that are done already.

  • Arsenal: have successively signed kai havertz of chelsea fc, timber of ajax, and declan rice of westham. Note that, declan rice deal is in progress and almost completed. We also hear that they are interested in other players like cancelo of manchester city.

  • Manchester united: They've n't been too busy, as they have only secured the signing of mason mount of chelsea fc.

  • Manchester city: they have completed the signing of kovacic of chelsea fc, and still looking for more players to hijack.

  • Chelsea fc: have offloaded so many players recently and are looking for more addition to the present. Nkunku has joined them recently, and they are yet to make a bid for Caicedo of brighton.

A quick summary below...

  • Jube bellingham joins real madrid.
  • Lionel messi joins inter miami.
  • Mac allister joins liverpool
  • Gundogan joins barcelona.
  • James Madison joins tottenham.
  • Youri tielemans joins aston villa.
  • Edward mendy, N'golo kante, Karim benzema, koulibaly and hakim ziyech recently moved to saudi arabia league.

These are the few transfers i could remember, with some still coming soon

Please, pardon me on any misspelt word in this content.

My Conclusion

I would have shared an opinion, but i guess my conclusion would matter most here.
Football is part of sport, lets learn to embrace it when we see a content(post) from it. Supporting authors that writes good contents makes a community grow, and i have witness that in other communities.

Before making this post, i also noticed the time frame between when new post are made. Lets be sincere, it isn't a good development.

Writing sporting articles don't seems difficult like other articles, due to the passion i have for it.

Lets stand up, to grow the sport-talk-social community. We can do better than this.

I HOPE SOMEONE TAKES HIS OR HER TIME TO READ THIS, AND DROP A COMMENT.

Hi @sahidclement10

One of the reasons why there is little interest in SportsTalkSocial is the price of the token.

Most bloggers here keep powering-down at regular intervals and selling most, if not all, their earnings regularly. This behavior impacts the price of the token negatively as it puts constant sell pressure on the price. Besides it also affects investors in Sports token, like me, as our investments keeps dropping in value. Worst still, it is the same people we vote who keep putting selling pressure on the token and devalue our investments. We, the investors, are poking our own eyes by voting for these people!

The other reason is the widespread image plagiarism/copyright infringements in SportsTalkSocial. I have asked three retired sports journalists/writers to become members in SportsTalkSocial and all of them refused after looking at the poor quality of the platform, in particular, the widespread image plagiarism/copyright infringements.

In fact there are many good sports writers in SportTalkSocial community but they are inactive, for one reason or another. Unfortunately, imho many of these good writers also don't know much about copyright and are constant copywrite infringers. Many are under the impression that simply citing the source of the copyrighted image absolves them of copyright infringement! Even HiveWatchers thinks so and encourages such practice. The truth is citing the source of the image is a cure for plagiarism but not copyright infringement. They would do well to read-up the difference between plagiarism and copyright infringement.

I think there is a way forward. That is by addressing the above two issues. If you are interested and wish to know more and want to be part of the solution let me know.

Thanks for reading my content.
I actually thought no one would bother reading.

I am really sorry for the lose of investment, but i don't still know why people chooses to do the wrong thing.

Regarding the issue of sourcing a copyright image or content, which is very wrong, i still don't know why writers chooses to do that. While writing my content yesterday, i took my time to search for an image that won't implicate my post, and i have been doing this for some time now.

I think there is a way forward. That is by addressing the above two issues. If you are interested and wish to know more and want to be part of the solution let me know.

I really want to be part of the solution, and i also want to learn more.
Sportstalksocial must stand tall.

Thank you for the quick response and agreeing to be part of the solution.

To address the two issues mentioned I have a formed a club named "50m Sports Power Club." Myself and two others who have joined my curation trail, would vote for sports content on SportsTalkSocial Community posted by members of this Club subject to them agreeing to a few conditions. These conditions address the two issues I mentioned earlier. Assuming you wish to join the 50m Sports Power Club then you will have to agree to the following conditions:

  1. Subscribe to SportsTalkSocial Community, if you haven't already, and post your sports content in the SportsTalkSocial community site.

  2. Post copyright infringement/plagiarism-free content (both text and images).

    a. All image (which must your own or for which you must have a free or commercial license to use) must carry an attribution citation just below the image following this guidelines from Creative Commons License.
    b. If it is an image owned by you, follow the guidelines modifying it accordingly to suit the circumstances. For example, you do not have to cite an external source since you are the source of the image UNLESS you are a professional photographer who has a portfolio website. Or you could simply state your citation as: ©sahidclement10.
    c. You may use copyrighted images provided your article meets the criteria set under Fair Use doctrine. If you do decide to use copyrighted images under the Fair Use doctrine, in your attribution citation replace the phrase, "is licensed under......." with "is used under the Fair Use doctrine" and in addition you should also insert a "Fair Use Notice" at the end of your article. The Fair Use Notice appended at the the end of this comment is the recommended format, which you may use freely.

  3. Your articles should contain at least 350 words (in the language of your choice). If you post in a language other than English then you must provide an English translation. If you are posting a video of 5 minutes or more, then an explanatory note of about 50 words or more would do.

  4. You commit to power-up ALL your earning in SPORTS tokens regularly as you earn them until you have accumulated 50 million SPORTS Power.

  5. After reaching 50 million SPORTS Power you are required to power-up ONLY 50% of your subsequent earnings to continue getting my support. You are therefore free to use the other 50% as you like.

If you accept this offer, please subscribe to the SportsTalkSocial community, if you haven't already, and say, "YES" in response to this comment.

This offer will expire in 7 days or upon reaching 30 subscriber mark, whichever is earlier.

These terms and conditions may be amended or added to in due course to remove ambiguity or to provide for unforeseen matters.

Fair Use Notice

This blog post may contain copyrighted images, video clips or GIFs whose use has not been specifically authorized by the copyright owners or their appointed agents.

If the images, video clips and GIFs used here are indeed copyrighted and not licensed to me then they are used here under the Fair Use exceptions to copyright laws of the respective jurisdictions including Section 107 of the Copyright Act, 1979 of the United States of America.

These laws allow use of copyrighted materials without the threat of infringement as an exception to copyright under certain circumstances. The scope of such allowed circumstances varies slightly from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. In general, in most cases, fair use would cover use for the purpose of commentary, criticism, reviews, news reporting and parody.

If your copyrighted material is used here and if you disagree to the use of the same on this blog post despite my claim to "fair use", please comment below or contact me at ..........................

If you wish to use any of the copyrighted materials here under Fair Use doctrine for your own purposes that go beyond "fair use" in your jurisdiction you will be well advised to obtain the necessary permission from the copyright owner.

Great. Welcome to the 50 million Sport Power Club.

You may, of course, buy and power-up SPORTS tokens from the market to reach the 50m SPORTS Power target faster. You may also buy Sports tokens with the Hive tokens you earn from your articles and power-up to reach your target faster.

Your curation rewards will increase daily as you accumulate more SPORTS Power. With increasing SPORTS Power from your curation rewards and coupled with the author rewards , it would then become increasingly easier for you to reach your target as the months roll by.

You may ask like-minded sports enthusiast cum bloggers to apply to join the club. I would consider all serious applicants.

All the Best.

I guess i now understand the reason why certain people keeps using copyright photos.

Writing a post which is sport related requires pictures of the sport athlete, which helps to captivate interest from readers.

Most of this pictures are always copyright, and they ain't free for use. I guess that's why i av n't write something few days back.

Is there an alternative to using such image @fit.zone ?.

Although it is difficult to find sports related free images, you can with some effort find Creative Commons Images from two sources:

  • By doing a google image search by using this search method:

"Google Image Search>>Your Search Term>>Tools>>Usage Rights>>Creative Commons Images."

If you are using this method be sure to check and verify that these images are indeed Creative Commons Images, before proceeding. Google does list commercial images (not free images) by error under that search. Creative Commons also has specific attribution requirement, which you must follow.

Alternatively, design yourself a Sports Themed Banner as some bloggers are already doing for all their posts. If you are not good at designing then you could ask one or more of the bloggers in the Arts related communities for help for a small fee. You could submit a classified ad in the HiveList Classifieds Community and ask for help from these designers, tagging some of them you have already identified. One such person who could possibly help is @vickoly.

You can also search for these designers in https://peakd.com/created/diy.

Finally, as a last choice use copyrighted images if you are sure your use of the images falls within the ambit of Fair Use doctrine. If you use this method make sure you include the Fair Use Notice at the end of your blog post as mentioned in the Rules.

    c. You may use copyrighted images for which you don't have a license("Unlicensed Copyrighted Images") provided your article meets the criteria set under Fair Use doctrine. The latest Rules of the 50m Sports Power Club are as as stated below.

These latest Rules have been amended to make it clearer and unambiguous.

Most people have no problem with the rules except Rule 2 on Copyright. They agree to be in the Club then keep violating Rule 2. Can't really blame them because copyright laws are complex and hence a lot of misunderstanding on what is legal and what is not.

I am not sure whether you have understood Rule 2 in its entirety. The best way to know is for you to start posting articles complying with the Rule 2 as best you understand, so that I will know whether you have understood the rules. If you agree to being monitored and advised upon from time to time on Rule 2 compliance, I will be happy to welcome you to 50m Sports Power Club. Let me know.

I also notice that you have already met the requirement under Rule 4 by purchasing more than 50m Sports tokens and powering-up. That shows you are interested and a serious investor in Sports token.
Congratulations for having attained the 50m Sports Power milestone!!

I think my way of solving the copyright issue is by agreeing not to publish any images at all on Sports Talk. Powering up 50% after 50 million is not a problem at all. In fact, i will continue powering up 100% until i reach 90 million, which is my original goal.

Yes, you can do that. But remember without images your post will attract fewer eyeballs and hence votes.

Some bloggers solve the issue by creating a single or a few Sports Themed Banners which they use for all their blog posts.

Here is a comment from @xys.store that would be of help: https://hive.blog/hive-133311/@xyz.store/re-dwixer-rx27b5

Google does list commercial images by error under that search. Creative Commons also has specific attribution requirement, which you must follow.

Hi @greywarden,

I was not planning to start recruiting members for the club so soon but my response to sahidclement10's post let me admitting him as the first member of the club by happenchance. He happen to be the first member by accident.

Before this, I have been voting for only bloggers who have been strict with copyright on their own accord and growing their Sports Power regularly without the need to power-up 100% of all their Sports earnings regularly. I commented on their posts saying that my support for them was based on these criteria. I don't want to give their names to you because, I will be dropping most of them from my list once I get enough members in the 50m Sports Power Club. Just before I started to doing this, the price of Sports token was dropping below 0.00001, and as soon as I started to vote as above the price started rising and went to almost 0.00003. It is now stabilizing at about 0.000016+. I am not sure whether there were other factors at play in the rise the price. Probably there was.

Some of the people I vote are also active in Actifit and Deporte, which means they are not posting in SportsTalkSocial community. I am voting them because I cannot find enough members in the SportsTalkSocial community to vote for.

If you want to vote for them temporarily, like I do, you may find their names by simply checking my wallet activities on https://sportstalksocial.com.

I was planning to get new members to Sportstalksocial community and inactive members who post once in awhile to become members. Doing so necessarily takes time. So my plan was to space out my recruitment exercise during the months ahead without any strict milestone.

You may, if you wish, join me by identifying potential members and ask them to apply for membership of the club.

Hope you understand.
