steevc just finished a 5.52km run, that lasted for 33 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 396.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
Some mornings you just do not want to get up and run. I was at the pub last night for a music session. It was really good fun even though there were a few less people. I took my ukulele for a change as I have not been playing too much lately. I did not drink much and it was not a really late night, but I still did not feel like an early start today.

I got out slightly later than usual and that may be why I encountered more kids going to school. It was slightly damp out there, but not actually raining. I thought I needed an intervals workout, so I headed to my usual spot on West Drive that has a bit of a climb.

Pace

It look me a while to get going as the first couple of sprints were slightly slow, but the last couple were good. I can look back over the last few years in Strava and I was a bit quicker a couple of years ago. I am improving, so maybe I can get back to that level, but then I am also older. I have to accept that age is a factor, but I still believe I have it in me to improve a bit.

It has got a bit brighter since my run. It is that time of year when you need different clothes depending on the time of day. The sun can warm things up, but it soon cools down again at night.

Stay well and run free.
As always this run will get logged on Hive where it earns me something. Let me know if you want to try that.

Getting up and doing the work is always a good thing even if your time isn't as good as it used to be. I dragged myself out of bed this morning as well. My wife and I have started to take a day off during the week instead of doing it five days a week. That seems to help our motivation a bit.

Yeah, but you get up at crazy o'clock! 7am is early enough for me. I don't run every day anyway as my body needs to recover.

You did great. An early run after a night out, intervals at that, is an achievement to be proud of.
