Rateče Cross-Country Skiing

Fresh snow was falling in the mountains and we decided to escape from the city and go in search for some fun on the snow.

We went to Kranjska Gora and Rateče where we parked our car and put on the cross-country skiing equipment. There was at least 20 centimeters of wet snow. The cross-country tracks of this area were cover with it. No problem since we wished to enjoy the nature on our own.

It was more than 5 kilometers of slipping and sliding in the snow. I couldn't see my skis most of the time. Puma was with us and was running up and down until she got tired from jumping over the snow.

These photos will paint the picture of all the fun we had on snow.

This wooden wheel marks the entry to Kranjska gora municipality from the Italian side. I have no idea what they wanted to tell with it.

Lucky you with all that snow and the mountains! Hope you can enjoy it often this season.
That's one of the few things I really miss from my hometown, being close to the mountains... !lolz

Thank you. This snow will stick until the spring. And more of it will come for sure.

I love the winter best this way - dry in the cities and white in the mountains.
