Morning Run: Misty one
steevc just finished a 7.08km run, that lasted for 44 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 506.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
This is my first training run since I got back from our long trip. My sleep patterns are still not quite right, but last night was not too bad. The forecast says it will get pretty warm this week, but when I went out it was cool and quite misty. That made for pretty cobwebs. Someone like spreading sliced bread along our road and there was some there this morning. I doubt it is for the birds as it was on the road itself and not broken up.
I did my usual run up to Fairfield and it was hard work. I need to build up my running fitness again as I only did a couple of runs over the last three weeks. The big hill felt longer and usual, but I kept running.
There were a few other guys out running and one old guy having his morning walk who I saw a couple of times around the loop.
Podcast listening was Pod Save The UK (politics) and No Guitar Is Safe. I listened to less whilst away, so I some catching up to do.
The mist soon disappeared and it may get to 30C this afternoon. I could be having a swim later to cool off.
As always, my Strava logs also go to the Hive blockchain where I earn from them. If you are interested in that then let me know.

We had a national holiday yesterday, but I got up and did my workout anyway. This morning was a little more difficult. That's what getting up so early does to you I guess. I am looking forward to a time when I am retired and I can take my time getting up and working out and then not feeling so rushed when I am working out. I wonder if that will have an impact on the effectiveness of my workouts.
When I work from home I don't need to rush so much in the morning and have time for a run. It may not be that long before I think about retiring, but I am getting a reasonable life balance for now.
!BEER
Even getting up at 4:30, I still only have about 15 to 20 minutes to get a workout in. I know that is better than nothing, but I can't help but think what kind of results I might be seeing if I had the time to do a 30 to 40 minute workout each day.
That's the ideal, but doing anything is beneficial.
For sure!
Good lord, why on earth would someone spread bread about if not for the birds? People can be nuts!
It is odd. There were some biscuits on the pavement too. Some people are just strange.
Maybe it was a little tea party :OD
Interesante carrera, pero lo preocupante es la 🌡️🥵 🌡️ mucho calor 30 grados .
I'm not running when it's that hot :)
Okay 👍 tanks You.

Really a huge run
Not really
A nice run. the art work in the thumbnail picture is done by the spider.
I know :)
Got up quite early today and also saw some mist. No cobwebs here though sadly.. that would have made for some nice photos
It was less misty today when I went out about the same time. It does cool down at night, so that makes sleeping easier. I don't expect this heat to last long, but it could be a feature in years to come.
Interesting post. It's nice that you are keeping track of your fitness. I like the idea too but I'm not so fond of Strava as it's proprietary and has well known security flaws. Are you, by any chance, aware of #OpenSource and privacy-friendly alternatives?
An open source alternative would be great, but I have not seen one. It would need some infrastructure if it were to offer the same sort of statistics. I guess that it could be possible to build it on a blockchain so anyone can use the data. We so have @strava2hive that creates these posts, but the source has not been shared yet.
