steevc just finished a 7.0km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 555.0 calories.

Description from Strava:

I could have run earlier this week, but with record high temperatures it may not have been a good idea and train cancellations meant I was not sure when I would be going to the office. It was hitting 40C in places in the UK, which beats previous records and is very worrying.

I did my standard run up to Fairfield. Climbing that hill was hard work. Since I was last up there the scaffolding on the old chapel has been taken down. I did the lap of the estate and on the last bit there is a new path behind the houses. Previously that was just grass with a track worn by walkers. The gate there has been replaced too.

Even coming down the hill was not easy today, but then I need to build my endurance up again. By the time I got home I was very warm, but am recovering now. I just need to get back into my running routine.

Run free!

BTW for any Stravans who wonder I am doing run blogs here that get picked up by an app to post on Hive where I earn from them. Just ask if you want to try that.

It's not that hot today and I always drink before and after a run. Please don't worry about me.

People on Strava may notice I write the blogs there with the hashtags. That gets picked up by @strava2hive and posted here. It's a convenient way to do my running posts.

Running in this hot weather is good for sweating and burning calories quickly. Great timing for your age, next time try to run the same distance in 40 minutes. Good morning

I was running it quicker before I had COVID and I hope to speed up again. This is how I stay in shape.

I love climbing hills it is also an excellent sport. Temperatures are increasing every year and this is dangerous.

Yeah, you need to take it easy! I hear it has been brutal over there! I was lazy the beginning of this week and didn't exercise, but I finally dragged myself out of bed and did it this morning. It's amazing how much better it makes you feel.

Well it was only 18C this morning compared with 40C peaks earlier in the week. I wouldn't try running in that .
