Morning Run - Just an easy 12km

prof_image_22141214.png
mimismartypants just finished a 12.01km run, that lasted for 104 minutes.
This run helped mimismartypants burn 860.0 calories.

Description from Strava: I have not run in weeks and have not done distances maybe more than unit 8kms for a long time now. I also have not been doing any training past few months so this was a shock to my system.

We started at camps bay tidal and I planned to just run for 45 mins, see how far I got and make my way back. The view was good and I was feeling strong though, and then eye of the tiger hit my playlist and I thought what a heck! Made it to just under 6kms and turned back. Was still feeling strong most of the way but those last 2kms got me! I'm paying for it 2 days later. Look at that view though...

Well done on a good run. I envy your sea views. I hope the weather is good. It's warming up here this week.

Thanks Steve! I still have sore legs 3 days later! But it was worth it! I think I also just missed the feeling and was feeling strong so went for it.

We are spoilt for views here in Cape Town for sure! Have you ever been?

We still knee deep in winter here but we getting some sun this week so thats nice! I am enjoying the cooler weather though after a month in Malaysias brutal heat!

I've never been to SA, but other in my family have. I just checked your weather and it's not much cooler than here. I expect your winters are mild.

Have fun!

Depends. We get bursts of coldness but never below freezing. Maybe 4 to 5 degrees in the mornings and then warms up. The lowest highs we get is prob 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. So I guess this is nothing for you lol.

Summers are pretty good. You should add it to your bucket list. With the pins you would have a holiday fit for a king!

Hello fellow South African on Hive!! (I thought I had found all of us!!)

Do you mind if I tag @zakludick , a fellow South African who likes to compile a list of South Africans (and a few others) to support each other on Hive? He does a weekly update on our HP growth, like this: https://ecency.com/hive-167922/@zakludick/hive-progress-the-busy-bees-979fe39b5da6b
