My Actifit Report Card: January 13 2024
We finally saw the thermometer reach up into the 50s Fahrenheit this afternoon after too many cold, cold days.
We woke to a clear and cold but tolerable day so Momma made sure Lulu had on her fluffy red winter coat for our morning walk.
There was plenty of snow still on the ground but the roads have cleared nicely but are still slick on some of the shady or little used places. We enjoyed clear roads but the big field was still covered in a nice layer of snow which Lulu was eager to run through and roll around in.
We actually covered the 2 miles quickly as Lulu ran a lot on the snow and was less inclined to stop and sniff everything.
We did another 3 miles or so hiking down the dirt road to Lynx Creek and along the jeep trail for a bit. We chatted with a few prospectors visiting from Idaho before trudging back up the snowy road.
I hope the ground is drying out down in Stanton for a trip there tomorrow.
