First half marathon of the year: March 30 2025
Alone and at a slow pace, but my first half marathon of the year is a fact!
I wanted to check how low I could keep my pulse, aiming at 130-135 BPM and not wanting to pass 140 BPM. This means when I was nearing (or on a certain moment passing) the 140 BPM, I slowed down. I quickly found out that the leave would be near 5'km and I was wondering if I would maintain this pace at the second half when there would be more head wind and I would be more tired. I could, do that's a good sign, but anyway I've been very tired, especially in the last kilometer.
This makes me think that probably I'm not ready yet for a half marathon at a decent pace. We'll see how the evolution will be, starting with recovery.
