CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NIGHT - 1
What a Night. We have waited for the knockout stages of the Champions League to begin for so long now, and we finally have our first taste of it. Today's games were ones involving two heavyweights. The Champions of France were up against the Champions of Germany, and elsewhere, Ac Milan welcomed Tottenham to the San Siro.
MILAN VS TOTTENHAM
Ac Milan is one of the most successful clubs in the champions league, but recent times have seen them seldom make an appearance in the competition. Last winning the most coveted Club trophy in 2007. They welcome the 2019 finalist, Tottenham. It was a pretty exciting game. Both teams played some fine football and created a number of goal-scoring chances. An early goal from Brahim Diaz in the seventh minute looked to be the difference all game. A great strike from the left by Theo Hernandez saw Forster fumbling with the ball, paring it into the danger area only for Diaz to head in his own rebound. Milan takes the advantage to the second Leg to come on the eighth of March.
PSG VS BAYERN
The real match-up everyone wanted to see. Two heavyweights locking horns. PSG looked to go one better after a round of 16 exit last time in the hands of the eventual winners, Real Madrid, While Bayern suffered a shock exit against Villareal last time out. The game started off with full dominance from the Germans. They looked like a perfect team, while PSG was unable to muster a shot, all throughout the first half. The dominance soon paid off, after a sweeping cross, saw Kingsley Coman beat Donnaruma early in the second half. Coman was a menace all game, causing all sorts of problems for the PSG defense. With PSG coach, Christophe Galtier leaving out Kylian Mbappe from the starting lineup due to an Injury but was forced to introduce himself into the game to see if he can salvage something from the game. That substitution, including the introduction of Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, and Presnel Kimpembe looked to change the course of the game. PSG started running at Bayern's defense and creating chances, even scoring two goals that were chalked of for offside. An Amazing defensive work from Pavard (who saw red after a second yellow for a tackle on Messi), Upamecano, and De Ligt, made sure Bayern Munich secured all three points going into the second leg. The game is well poised, and we hope Kylian Mbappe would be fully fit for the second leg.

This match!
I wasn't chanced to watch but I viewed the highlights and it's so wow!
Sometimes luck works in football but as for me, I don't like full dominance without seeing the net. Give me net and leave dominance.
Poor PSG!😢
Tye second leg would be fire 🔥🔥
From where I watched the game, we only broadcasted the PSG V’s Bayern’s game. I believe the score line would have been different if Mbappe had started the game.
Tottenham losing to Ac Milan didn’t come as a surprise to me. I don’t really know that the problem is with Tottenham, maybe they are allergic to wining trophies😂😂
Yeah. Hopefully, tye lad is fit enough for the second leg.
I feel for harry kane🥶
To be honest Milan VS Spurs was more fun than PSG VS Bayern because PSG was outmatched and, as usual, Messi was ghosted.
Broooooo, that Bayern game was fun tbf
Without Mbapee PSG seems not much of a deal.
True that brother.
Now we look forward to the second leg
apologies for the late response.
This week is gonna be a great one to watch the champions
It was wasn't it?! 😅
Yeah it is
Disappointed with PSG's performance yesterday and I am beginning to have doubts if they will reach the final this season.
I think Bayern would knock them out sef
