Description from Strava:
It definitely feels like the weather is changing, but it was still fairly warm and humid this morning. I did my usual run and it went well. I was a touch quicker than last week, so I may be getting back to normal after my holiday.

Some fellow parkrunners did the Great North Run on Sunday. It was hot up there and I think they had some rain. It is one of the biggest runs in the UK and it would be fun to do it.

I saw a couple of other runners this morning, but it was fairly quiet. I had some comedy (Dom Joly) and political (The Rest is Politics) podcasts beaming through my bone conduction headphones today.

As I came back down the hill I thought I felt a few fine drops of rain, but nothing significant. It is predicted to rain later. The garden needs it. It is still producing tomatoes, apples and raspberries through.

Just at the bottom on West Drive a squirrel ran out right in front of me. I am not sure who was more startled, but we both survived.

I added the little extra loop around the block near home this time. I have volunteered for parkrun on Saturday and may try a longer run on Sunday.

We are finally in some pleasant (if not rainy) weather right now. At least it isn't unbearable hot. I have a feeling we still have one final summer push before the weather fully turns. It isn't uncommon for us to top the 80 degree mark into October.

I've just been out at lunchtime to check on the chickens and it's raining a little now. The temperatures we've been getting are unusual for September. We're not set up for it.

That's never good. Part of the reason I hate warm weather. When you are cold you can always bundle up. When you are hot, there is only so much you can do!
