Morning Run: Trippy
steevc just finished a 7.43km run, that lasted for 45 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 500.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
Whilst a lot of southern Europe is sweltering in 40C+ heat it has turned mild in the UK for now and I am glad of that. I would find it hard to run if it were that hot. It might even be dangerous. These temperatures could be a sign of the damage we are doing to the world. Politicians paid by oil companies have tried to avoid taking action, but we cannot go on like this. Some say that protests by Just Stop Oil are annoying, but that is like complaining about the noise of the alarm when your house is on fire.
At least my running has minimal effect on the planet. I just need new shoes once in a while, but I am trying to buy those that do less harm. My legs were feeling tired this morning as I did the usual route. I saw a few other runners out, but then conditions are ideal for running.
The hip was still aching a little. It is mending, but slowly. I just want to keep getting out there.
Around the back of Fairfield there is a kissing gate, but I tend to jump over the little fence next to it. Today I just caught my shoe on it. I did manage to stay on my feet and no harm was done. There are a couple of other little jumps around there and I am conscious that I do not want to fall. I definitely do not want more injuries.
I hope everyone is doing okay out there. Stay healthy and live a good life.
Run free.

Hola amigo mis felicitaciones yo vengo cómo te comenté hace días de recorrer 3,23 km hace minutos para llegar a mi trabajo. Y es una caminata excelente para la salud sobre todo aquí en Venezuela que son las 5 am.
I don't get up that early, but I like to run before work. Have a good day.
Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.

We hit a more mild patch as well. It's good too, I don't think I could handle much more. I was out mowing the lawn the other day and the air was just so heavy. We had an air quality warning from the Canadian fires too. My yard isn't that big and I had to stop and take a break several times while I was mowing. Looking back, I probably should have waited to mow. It was a late night last night, but I rolled myself out of bed and worked out this morning.
It's hard to get much done if it's too hot or the air is bad. It's okay here really, but I wonder if it will get hot again this summer. We've had so much rain lately.
We just started getting rain a couple of weeks ago, so now everything is growing like gang busters. I'll probably have to mow my lawn again before next week.
Yeah, weeds are taking over here. I need to strim the lawn as I'm encouraging wild plants to get established. Seeing lots of insects around now, so maybe it's working.
That is cool. I have a forest behind where I live and I have started letting the grass on the other side of the fence run free. I don't know if there are more insects, but the bunnies have definitely taken over!
I'm seeing lots of bees and butterflies, but they tend not to let me take photos as I scare them off. I decided we don't need a neat lawn anyway.
I think I would probably get fined if I didn't keep mine nice. Plus my dog gets a little picky when it gets too long.
Nobody is going to fine me. Councils around here are letting some verges grow. A neat lawn is a pretty sterile environment for nature, especially if people spray it to keep weeds down.
We mow some paths across ours.
We would either get fined or they would hire someone to mow it and then send us the bill. They are allowing green areas, but if you let your lawn go too far you will eventually get hit with a blight warning.
Well, I'm not in the UK but I can see how a lot of people are complaining about the heat. I wonder how it will feel but I guess it cannot have so much effect on me since my country is hot most of the time...
It can depend on what you are used to and the facilities you have. Most UK homes do not have a/c, but it's more common in offices now.
