Morning Run: Cooldown
steevc just finished a 7.03km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 483.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
I felt very tired yesterday. It may have been a combination of a late night on Saturday and the warm temperatures. It has cooled down a little now and I slept better last night. That does not mean I leapt out of bed ready for a run, but I did drag myself out.
It was quite nice out there. We had some strong winds on Sunday, but all was calm. I did my usual Fairfield loop and there were not too many people around. There will always be some dog walkers and kids going to school. There is a couple I often see out for a morning walk. Perhaps that is their exercise routine.
I just kept plodding on. This was not a particularly quick run for me, but I am happy that I can keep running despite my hip niggle. I am seeing the physio again this week. It was not too painful on the run. I am taking his advice to massage it and doing some stretches before and after running. I have largely neglected stretching on my workouts previously, so maybe that contributed to the current issue.
I warmed up a lot over this run, but it was quite enjoyable really.
I have taken to listening to some political podcasts in these 'interesting times'. One of those is Pod Save the UK which is fun as well as informative.
Have a great week and run free.

I got about halfway through my workout this morning and I almost gave up, but then I kept going. I am glad I did. Nice job on your run. I totally get what you are saying. The heat and humidity here has been intense. I plan on writing a little more about that tomorrow.
We do not get the intense heat that others suffer with, but it can depend on what you are used to and we have no a/c at home. It's quite mild here now.

I think I would die. My A/C tends to go out every summer here at work and it is always during the hottest of days.
I went most of my life with no a/c in the car and worked in places without it. Never had it at home. Somehow we survived, but summer temperatures could be rising.
We didn't have it much of the time I was growing up as well. Now that I have had it though, I wouldn't trade it. I fear like you temperatures are rising. I don't like the thought of that.
Cool that you have daily fulfill the healthy routine life, keep it up! 🙂
