steevc just finished a 7.11km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 590.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was feeling a bit run down yesterday when I went to the office, but maybe I was just tired after a run plus a band rehearsal on Sunday. I slept well last night and was up for another run.

I just did the usual Fairfield loop at an easy pace. Parts of the road up to there were quite sticky with all the stuff that comes off the trees. Some people park their cars along there and they looked a bit mucky. That stuff is not easy to clean off.

I saw quite a few runners and some of them more than once as we went in opposite directions around the estate. One guy had a dog on a waist harness. I do wonder how much quicker people can run like that as dogs can be strong. We had a lady with a harness at parkrun, but she was told to take it off at the start as the rules say people should use short, hand-held leads. It seems that is mainly to reduce the risk of tripping at the start when you have a crowd of people and the dogs get excited. Once they are spread out it is less of an issue. I know some of the 'canicross' people complained about this rule, but parkrun is not just for people with dogs.

The run went okay, but I was not feeling like going much quicker. My hip was not too bad, but we shall see what the physio says. I always find this route a challenge as it has a fair bit of uphill. I look forward to running back down.

We had 30C at the weekend, but it has been a little cooler since then. At work yesterday we had a real thunderstorm after lunch with heavy rain and high winds, but it stayed dry at home just a few miles north. We could do with some rain here. I have no a/c at home, but my study stays a little cooler than other parts of the house as it is on the north side.

Stay well and run free.

Nice job on your run. I skipped my workout this morning. I was up late watching my nephews baseball game last night and I just wasn't feeling it this morning. I will likely be walking a bit this weekend when my wife and I go camping, so I am not too worried about missing a day.

Some people get too serious about sticking to a routine, especially those who try to run every day. Enjoy your camping.

It has become so hot here in Pakistan today that it has become difficult to even leave the house. Even today, the temperature was above forty.

It rarely gets that hot here and we are not used to it. Near 30C now and that's warm enough for me.
