Afternoon Run: A late one
steevc just finished a 10.01km run, that lasted for 59 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 820.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
I usually run on a Sunday morning, but when I got up it was -5C and I suspected the paths would be treacherous. After lunch it had warmed up a bit and I decided to do a loop. It is a route I have run many times and there are options to extend it.
There was still frost in places the sun had not reached and I could feel those were slippery, so I was careful. I tried to keep up a decent pace all the way.
I saw quite a few other runners. Either they had the same idea of delaying their runs or maybe they are not morning people. I did not recognise anyone. I also saw at least one squirrel.
I was mostly listening to the Cryptomaniacs podcast that featured @epodcaster who I have been interviewed by. Also had some of No Guitar Is Safe that was a tribute to Jeff Beck.
I made a stop at the Stotfold outdoor gym to lift a kettle bell a few times and do some dips. There were a lot of people around there and the nearby playground. Always good to see people getting out.
I am glad I got out in the end. I will be in the office some days this week, so will have to fit runs around that. The forecast shows it warming up slightly over the week.
Hope you all had a good weekend. Onwards and upwards!

Listening to someone while running is the great way to prolong your run.
Oh 10km running. You are great and hardworking man. A person should be like you and should not neglect health at all because it is very important for us.
And I'm glad to see you got out in the end. There has been plenty of sun at least which helps clear some of the frost/ice
Hope you have a good week running (and at work too I guess!)
Had struggles walking into town this morning with the ice so probably A good decision to go later in the day. Nice to see that you have an outdoor gym in your area too, shame we don't have one here just the standard commercial ones.
I think it's sorta fun to think @taskmaster4450, @jongolson, and I kept you company during your run. :-D
My wife and I do this go round too. On the weekends if we are going to walk I would just as soon do it as early as possible and get it over with so we still have the rest of the day to do whatever. She often wants to wait until it gets a bit warmer. Then your morning is half shot is my thinking...
I was due to go out in the afternoon, but it got cancelled. It's just a habit to run in the morning.
I still don't find working out enjoyable, so I just want to get it done and over with as quickly as possible. Hopefully one day that changes.
I don't hate it, but it can be a bit of an ordeal sometimes. I just know it won't be for long, so I tolerate it. I'm still impressed that I can run for an hour.
It's not that I hate it, I just don't enjoy it like I thought I would by this point. Maybe if I was actually seeing some results from it, but that isn't happening either...
