Morning Run: Course you can
steevc just finished a 14.43km run, that lasted for 84 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 967.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
I wanted to get in a longer run today. I tend to imagine myself running a route and sometimes that is the way I actually go. The weather was better than yesterday, so I eventually got up to head out.
I went up the hill to Fairfield, but cut through the middle of the estate this time to get onto the long straight road on the other side. It does go up and down a bit and undulations were a feature of this run. That tested me a bit. I was avoiding muddy tracks and so stayed near the road to head through Letchworth and Norton (more hills). I saw a fair few other runners out there today.
I was running a lot of the route of the Standalone 10k race, so decided to include the back lane that is part of that as well. Some nice big houses down there. Then is was out onto the road to Stotfold (more hills) and eventually back to Arlesey. Near home I saw my friend Graeme. I expect he did a long loop this morning too. We quite often seem to do similar runs.
Not long after I got back it started raining. It was nice out for me, but the patches of wet leaves can be slippery. Winter has its hazards.
Some people at work are talking about doing the Three Peaks Challenge. This involves scaling the highest peaks of England, Wales and Scotland in 24 hours. It sounds quite gruelling, but I could be up for it. I ought to be fit enough to handle it.
Run free!

This is an automated post by @strava2hive and is currently in BETA.
You're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.
From the month of August 2022, the Strava2Hive leader board will be determined by "calories burned"!
This Weeks Leader Board(Top 5):
Bing has done that at least twice. I have scaled all three (walking), some involve a little climbing, and if you suffer from vertigo (like me), then don't look down.
I've been up two of them. Having done Ben Nevis I suspect you can't hang around when doing that. I'd need to get some new boots.
Sometimes the hardest part is trying to work out where to actually run... tying to get the balance between an old route (boring but not much thinking required) or a new route (more interesting, but not sure where you are actually going)
I see you've made a good start on the 2023km in 2023 :-)

Have to try and keep it fun. I nearly always listen to podcasts when running, so that helps. I have a fair few different routes I can use around here anyway. In a village you tend to have limited directions you can go, but I can go cross-country when the conditions are suitable. I do feel I must have worn a groove in some paths I run more often.

Today the weather in our city is very cold due to which I cannot go to running in the morning. But in the evening I finish my running.
I don't the cold as long as it's safe to run. It may be much colder for you though. I'm not going to judge anyone for what they do :)
You definitely put in a lot of work. Well done👍
Well done
