Description from Strava:
I am in Split for the Hivefest social blockchain event. It is a great crowd of people who want to change the world. It is not just about money as many want to get off the corporate platforms.

We were out playing pool last night and I opted for an early night after that. Others wanted to party and were at the clubs until 5am. I was just tired after not sleeping well and conked straight out. I slept well until 8:30. I had been wanting to do a rerun and do headed straight out. The weather has been pretty warm, but slightly cooler today. I knew I wanted to run around the forest park on the peninsula. I tried using a Strava route, but the app messed up and did not record it was. I switched to my Garmin for the last part. The route was actually about 11km.

Once I got out of the city I just followed a road around the coast. There were a lot of other runners and cyclists out there. It was mostly pretty flat, but with one real hill. I took it steady.

The views of the scenery were wonderful and unlike anything at home. I always say I use running as a way to explore.

Coming back by the port it was very busy as the tourists all came out. I had to weave through them back to the hotel.

I just had time for a shower before joining some others for a late breakfast. Then we got a bus out of town to a karting place where people get to ride in the Hive rally car.

That sounds delightful and a great way of both keeping fit and seeing the places around there. Interesting how more people are gradually opting for Hive and other similar things because they’ve had enough of being played by the big guns.

I’ll try to get some people onboard here and the ModCaf people might find some value here.

I wrote an article over on Substack that I shall copy here when I get back from Wales. I reviewed the Test Chamber album that is being released in October.
