steevc just finished a 5.26km run, that lasted for 31 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 339.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I will have to be in the office more often now, so that means some lunchtime runs. The weather was not looking good today, but it was not raining as I headed to the changing rooms. There was nobody else there.

I took a different route today that started around the back roads of the industrial area before heading down the main roan towards the big Glaxo site. The arches must support the wall alongside the cycle path as it drops down to an underpass. I turned off towards the wonderfully named Roaring Meg retail park.

I kept away from the shops as I took the cycle path up a fairly steep hill, then cut across to the Six Hills that date back to Roman times. They are looking a little overgrown. As I got my phone out I dropped my work pass, but I did realise and picked it up.

The last bit was past the station and then up another hill back to work. Although it did not rain I was dripping with sweat. I cannot take too much time to cool off. The first shower I tried was out of order, but another was okay. I was still feeling warm as I climbed the stairs to my office to have some lunch at my desk.

The pace was okay today with a couple of km at a better pace. I need to keep building my fitness.

It is good to see the $HIVE price recover a little today. Not that I will be selling any for now. It would be nice if the price went up before @hivefest. I do have about enough $HBD for my ticket now.

Run free!

I like the dull weather in the hot summer days. Somehow it gives us a break of the heat even for few hours!

Nice place to run. I started going running twice a week, but I only run for 1 km, at least for now

It's okay around there. I can stay away from the roads, but it's not the prettiest place.

I'm sure you will build up your runs. I couldn't run far when I started, but now I can just keep going. Enjoy it.

Nice run! I honestly hate lunchtime runs, although I have to toss them in every so often also.

I prefer to run in the morning, but there's just not time before I go to work. At least I have an appetite afterwards.

True. How early do you have to head into work?

I get a train about 8am, but have to be up by 7am. I don't feel like getting up any earlier as I did that for years with my old job. The current job is a lot nearer home, so my quality of life is better.

I don't blame you. I ran early mornings through middle and high school and all through college and just can't get myself up in the mornings to go run unless my kids wake me up early wanting to go.

Cheers to have a closer job and better quality of life. Keep up the good work!
