Morning Run: Welsh wander
steevc just finished a 10.66km run, that lasted for 70 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 855.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
We are in Wales with a load of family for a long weekend staying on a farm. It is very quiet here, but it's good to get away. Yesterday rained a lot, but we still went to the beach. I paddled and a few people swam.
Yesterday evening it brightened up and a rainbow appeared as we went for a walk. On the farm is a prehistoric burial structure. There is also the remains of a village from Roman times.
I wanted to get a run in, so headed out before breakfast. Strava had some possible routes that started from the farm. The first part was along a narrow lane, but there is not much traffic. I was by a bigger road for a while then turned onto a lane that took me to a little bay. It looked like a dead end, bit a found a sign for the Welsh coast path. I was trying to follow that, but lost it a few times.
There was a real mix of surfaces with grass, sand, gravel sand tarmac. There were steep parts with stone steps. I took it carefully as it would be easy to trip.
I passed a few people who were out walking and a couple of ladies who were running. It ended up a bit further than I had planned. The climb at the end was tough and I walked a bit, but ran the last part.
It was a nice outing and I like to explore new places. It makes a change to be by the sea.
Run free.

A great way to see a new area, nice rainbow placement
!BEER
The funny thing is that we went for a walk later that covered a lot of the same ground.
Funny we were eyeing up Anglesea before opting for Snowdon in Feb as there was better cheap accommodation on the mainland. 10K is a good effort on unfamiliar terrain as you have to remember the way back! How's the farm..?
It's lovely here. The good thing about running by the sea is that you know where you are. I just had to get to a beach we'd already visited. The farm is nice. They have a few cottages plus some camping. The kids are camping, but I like a proper bed.
Sounds great!
You sure had lots of activities and it's a good thing to stay healthy. 😊

Sounds like a nice wee place. Tis good to run in a new locale!
I like to explore. It's very different to home. More hills for one thing.
The start and end elevation change must have made your adventure run even more challenging.
Yes, it's a bit like being an explorer. It sounds like the trip overall has been a good one. Enjoy!
I started up the hill, so it was hard at the end. I enjoyed it anyway.
I’d love to visit the beach someday when it is raining
I wish to know that feeling
That's an awesome pic of the rainbow. I have been doing a bit of walking myself lately. Mostly outdoors which is a nice change.
It felt odd seeing that so late in the day. It's a magical place
Wow I have not seen rainbow for a long time...
You are so lucky.
Have a nice day!
Congratulations @steevc! You received a personal badge!

The rainbow made it look like there's treasure buried under that rock haha. I haven't been to Wales in a long time - over a decade now. I used to go at least once a year.
I did compose that shot for magical effect. It's amazing to think how long it's been there. We have family over this way, so we come anyway.
Congratulations @steevc! You received a personal badge!
Participate in the next Power Up Day and try to power-up more HIVE to get a bigger Power-Bee.

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
