steevc just finished a 7.34km run, that lasted for 44 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 537.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
My long weekend was quite tiring even though a lot of it was sitting down at shows and on the train. Our train home had some disruption, but we did not get back much later than expected.

We did manage to catch up with the new Doctor Who episodes which were very silly and fun (space babies!). I have watched the show for most of my life and the tone has varied, but I think with Russell T. Davies back in charge I think it will be fun again.

As we have had issues with rats around the chicken run I was reading up on ways to deter them. It seems that they do not like certain strong smells, so the latest measure was to spread a lot of chopped garlic around there. I shall monitor the situation.

I fed the chickens before setting off on my run. Today I was doing the fast and slow kilometres, The result was similar to previous attempts where there 'sprints' got quicker as I went along. That is partly due to warming up and also to whether I am going up or down a hill.

We had some rain yesterday, but it was dry today. Everything is very lush and green. I did not see too many people today, but the old guys who hike up the hill were out. I also saw a black squirrel and lots of birds. Back at home we have blue tits in one of the nest boxes.

I have offered to help at parkrun on Saturday, but I will fit in some runs around that. I have not done a long one in a few weeks.

Run free!

I heard there was some controversy about the new big bad in Dr. Who. I haven't watched it in years so I didn't read the article at all. Nice job on your run!

I've no idea what the controversy might be. Maybe someone had an issue with a drag performer. Disney have a hand in it now, so that could mean a bigger budget, but then they had to explain some of the back story for new viewers.

That could be what it was. I don't really know.

I’ve always heard about Russell T Davies
Are his shows usually interesting?

I've enjoyed those I've seen. He is a life-long Dr Who fan.

That is a great run, good job! I always liked the old Tom Baker Dr. Who, I haven't watched many of the new ones, I'll have to look out for them.

I grew up watching Tom Baker. It's different now, but we enjoy it.

I love the Tom Baker Dr. Who shows still! I grew up with them too. The newer ones never had much syndication here in the US except now on streaming.

steevc just finished a 7.34km run, that lasted for 44 minutes.

You have got good speed, that's 10 km per hour, and maintaining this speed for 44 minutes demonstrates good stamina.

Running is the best all-around exercise.

Everything is very lush and green. I did not see too many people today, but the old guys who hike up the hill were out

That's the difference. That green physical environment during running is the real appetizer.

Keep running to stay fit.

Thank you.

Have a great day.

Spring may be my favourite time as nature seems at its most active then. Lots of birds singing around here.

Greetings @steevc ,

Sounds like the perfect title....which immediately orients the reader to where we are in time and space. ^__^

Bleujay has heard Mint does a good job of keeping mice away...it is said you can also plant it in pots where you need them. Please let us know if the garlic keeps them at bay.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

I may get some plants as they can be nice to have anyway. I've not seen a rat since I scattered the garlic, but they do not always show themselves.
