steevc just finished a 6.98km run, that lasted for 40 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 500.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It was slightly damp out there, but not actually raining. I did the usual loop. I am not too bothered about varying my route for now and this gives me some idea of whether I am making progress.

As I jogged up the High Street I could hear a low throbbing and then a Chinook helicopter came over fairly low. We quite often see them here. It will be some military exercise going on.

I tried to keep the pace up today and it increased as I went on. I really want to keep it under 6min/km, but it takes me a little while to get going properly and then I am running up a hill. When I was coming back down I tried to go quicker. At one point I could hear a bike coming up behind me. The guy did not ring his bell or shout, but he zoomed past me in his Lycra. I had my bone conduction headphones on, but he must have assumed I knew he was there and would move over.

I tried to keep the pace up all the way home. Overall it was similar to some recent runs, so I am fairly consistent. I will aim to run on Thursday and may do intervals then.

This grey weather is not ideal for solar power, but we are still generating some. It is enough to run the house and send excess to the grid.

Run free!

It's nice when they let you know they are coming. It's kind of annoying to have to keep looking behind you when you are trying to just move forward. Thankfully I don't have that problem on the treadmill!

This is one reason I don't want earphones that block out noise. I need to be aware of what is around me. He was zooming along and needed to warn me really.

I agree with you there. I think there is a time and place for noise cancelling headphones. I don't even wear headphones when I am mowing the law just in case something happens. It would make it more enjoyable if I did though.

I eat after my morning run. Usually have granola. I don't have any special diet really.

Okay cool.
Some people take protein after workout which I don't want to take, so I thought it's something important to take after some workout or it won't matter much if you don't take it unless you eat other food for recharging your energy.

I don't think you need special supplements unless you are doing really intensive training. I am no expert on diet, but there is plenty of advice for runners online.

That's what Strava says, but I don't pay much attention to calories.
