Morning Run: What a relief
steevc just finished a 7.72km run, that lasted for 48 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 565.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
It has turned cold again here and our thermostat reckoned it was -1C out there. Strava says it would feel colder. I found a suitable hat and set off.
The new 'relief road' has now opened, but plenty of people are complaining about it. There will be issues with the junction until they sort out the other roads and of course we lost some countryside. I had run on the road previously when they had a little open day, but this time I stayed on the path. I was not sure if the bridge over the bypass would be open, but it was and so I carried on into Etonbury Woods. It was very quiet around there. The ground was well frozen, so I did not get muddy, but it was slippery in places. I was not totally sure where the paths would come out, but I knew where I was when I got to Stotfold. We need some new Strava segments for people to compete on for the new road.
Then it was just a jog back home, but I took the long way around. This is the last day of the company MOVEmber charity effort. I could clock up a little more distance later as I plan to head into London for a little Hive meetup organised by @alessandrawhite who is visiting the UK. Can you guess what hat I will be wearing?

Way to keep active even with the cold weather! I usually wait for the afternoon to get out an walk (can't run since good old military service injuries.) You burned a lot of calories, it's a great feeling to burn off those extra calories and give you that nice runners "high"!

We had a slick drive into work this morning. I saw at least one car in the ditch and it wasn't that bad out. Not like it usually gets. I skipped my workout this morning. @mrsbozz has been sick, so I just stayed in bed with her. I will likely work out tomorrow. I think we are going to use some of our bonus money at the end of the year to finally buy a treadmill.
With the weather you get it seems a good idea to exercise indoors. It does not get much colder than this here. I do not really feel the cold once I get going.
Wishing Mrs Bozz all the best.
Thanks, I appreciate it. We have been wanting a treadmill for a while now. I think the big problem will be us fighting over it each morning if we do get one!
It is very hot here but we’d be in harmattan season very soon
Strava seem to be a good app
So it tells if it will be more cold or not?
No, it tells you the actual temperature and how it will feel due to wind, humidity etc.
wow that's cold! 😰
where'd u get that awesome hat?
I got it from @tibfox who sent me some Hive gear.
😎
Here, when I go for a walk in the morning, there are less people coming inside the garden because of the cold weather.
