The !WEED bot did not break, but rather simply turned off due to "spam". 🧘🤓😏 !PIZZA

The !WEED command used to be able to be successfully called once per hour (per 60 minutes to be more precise), not necessarily once per day. 😅

The WEED "tipping" (curation) bot doesn't respond to calls where the previous call from the same Hive account is less than 60 minutes before. 🤓

Maybe you won't mind having all the detailed info you need from memos from token transfers, not necessarily from comments which can "clutter" the comments section (unless everyone in the comments section either !loves tipping tokens or at least doesn't mind them). 🤔😅

I think that a good combination of token tipping commands is at least one that is almost guaranteed to work, and at least one that doesn't work most of the time. 🤔😏

It's so curious that various bots, like our usually-dependable !PIZZA bot, work well for long stretches of time, then out of the blue, start having issues, or even stop altogether.

Yep, that's a good tipping strategy to follow. When bots become very iffy, I tend to just stop using them for a while, to see if things improve. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Token tipping bots for the ENGAGE, CTP, PGM, COFFEE, and some others would likely benefit from @borniet's "touch", though hope that their respective owners would allow such thing to happen! 🤔🤓

Yep, that's likely true. The main issue with them is that, as you said, the bot owners need to not only be available, but also wanting help with their bots, which is not always the case. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I don't think that "wanting help" is necessary, for as long as the owners of the inactive token tipping bots would simply allow (without being required to do anything else) @borniet's offer to "touch" and revive those bots. 🤓😅

Indeed, of course, and that's what I mean, like for example the SLOTHBUZZ tipping bot, which has not worked for quite a long time now. I contacted the fellow who runs it, and he was so busy in his life that he wasn't even aware that it was broken. He's still deciding what if anything he still wants to do with the bot. He said he'll contact @borniet if he wants to get it up and running again. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

In the case of the ENGAGE tipping token, the maximum number of that token has already been issued, such that no "repair" on its tipping bot will fix the problem regarding the inability to tip more of the token (unless the ENGAGE bot's Hive account has a way of acquiring more of the token, either by being sold or gifted the token). 🤔🤯😅

I was thinking of the owner of the ENGAGE project creating another #HiveEngine token with a similar name (such as ENGAGEX similar to what happened to WINE becoming WINEX), then continuing the token tipping project from there. 🤔🤓

The ENGAGE token tipping bot was shut down not because of problems with its code, but that it no longer has tokens to tip. 🤔 Creating another similar token (such as ENGAGEX) however (and creating an ENGAGE:ENGAGEX token pair liquidity much like WINE:WINEX) would have continued the project with minimal interruptions. 😅

I am currently at Tier 3 on WINEX tipping, where I can tip a total of 0.6 WINEX (and get tipped back 0.6 WINEX) per day. 🤔 If I reach Tier 4, I can tip (and get tipped back) a total of 1 WINEX per day, which if I tip all to you everyday, you will earn WINEX about 66% faster. 🤓

The Tier 2 tipping for the !WINEX token (which allows you to tip and get tipped back 0.1 WINEX on the first tip and 0.2 WINEX on the second tip for the day) requires 75 staked WINEX tokens. 🤓

You just need about 30 more (staked) WINEX to reach Tier 2. 😎😏

While you say that getting to Tier 2 for !WINEX tipping isn't that long right now, getting to Tier 3 from Tier 2 will require an additional 150 staked WINEX tokens, for which I will need 250 days tipping you WINEX 3 times a day. 🤔🤯😅

The LUV/HBIT founder said that such bots use a database of "valid" bot commands (such that random characters that begin with ! or $ such as !thisisatest aren't counted), that means the database hasn't been updated yet. 🤔🤓 !PIZZA !INDEED !DIY

Updating the database (the LUV/HBIT in this case) would take time, and with new bots appearing on Hive as well as existing bots accepting new alternative commands, there might come a time that the database will need to be updated everyday. 🤔🤯🤓 !INDEED !WEIRD !DIY

I have the impression that there are indeed appearing more bots (while the existing ones don't seem to get repaired, like !WEED) and that there are less people finding their way to Hive. I !HOPE the time that this is going to change is not far away any more because as soon as the BTC is going to drop, Hive is going to drop to an unacceptable level. I mean that it isn't going to be worth (almost) anyone's time any more for the poor benefits that there are to reap. !wine

I think that when the price of HIVE significantly drops further, then there would still be some people who would remain on the platform because of its other features such as practically free publishing of posts (that costs only a bit of Resource Credits) and censorship-resistance. 🤔🧘‍♂️🤓 !LOLZ !DIY

There is another blogging platform named #Arweave where users are required to pay AR tokens to publish articles, media, and any file in general on their "blockchain" (technically not a blockchain, but a blockweave where a node does not need to host the entire blockchain though with reduced earnings for hosting depending on percentage of the blockchain not stored). 🤓 There are also no "author rewards" and "curator rewards" for publishing there. 😅 !WEIRD !INDEED !DIY

Yes, so it might not be a way for content creators to earn tokens from publishing content. 🤔💸 !LOLZ

However, that platform offers several features not on Hive, such as direct hosting of non-text data (such as images, videos, and other types of files), and removal of content that isn't desired by every node on that network (meaning content that isn't supposed to be on the Internet will gradually become inaccessible on that platform over time as more nodes decide not to host it). 🤓😏 !DIY

He's been so incommunicado that even getting the tipping bot up and running again has been problematic. My project partner, @borniet, could easily get it working again if Erik provided the needed information. I'm the comment moderator for the @aliveandthriving posts, I and the handful of other Alive admins do what we can without him around. As far as I know, the only thing that he does do is to provide the post headers each week. Nope, WEED is still broken too, unfortunately, or rather it was turned off. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
