20 km Walk: Squeezing the Day Like a Lemon"
Today started off slowly – a light breakfast of cottage cheese with tomato and cucumber. Nothing fancy, but it filled me up and gave me energy for the day. After that, I squeezed in a home workout with TRX bands and weights, while watching a few episodes of The Mentalist. In between, I had some nice chats with my husband and kids – just the kind of morning that sets a good tone for the rest of the day.
I prepped lunch early because we had a plan – a walk. And not just a stroll! My husband, after a 24-hour shift, insisted on a 20 km walk to Jaz Opatowicki. I hesitated at first, wondering if it was too much, but he was determined – and I couldn’t say no to that kind of drive.
The weather wasn’t as nice as yesterday – the sun stayed hidden behind clouds and a light breeze was blowing – but honestly, it made the walk even better. We walked side by side, with nature around us, talking, sometimes just enjoying the silence. It felt like it was just us and the world. Only during the last stretch did we really start to feel tired. But after 35,000 steps – what a feeling of accomplishment!
In the evening, we played Scrabble with the kids – laughter, fun, and togetherness. Now, I’m treating myself to a warm bath and a leg massage with my pressotherapy boots.
This weekend? Nailed it. Thank you, life – that’s exactly how I want to spend my days.

Dzisiejszy dzień zaczął się niespiesznie – lekkie śniadanie: serek grani z pomidorem i ogórkiem. Niby nic wielkiego, a czułam się syta i gotowa do działania. Potem trochę domowego ruchu – ćwiczenia z TRX-ami i ciężarami, do tego kilka odcinków „Mentalisty” w tle. W międzyczasie chwile rozmów z mężem i dzieciakami, czyli dokładnie to, czego potrzeba, by poczuć, że dzień ma dobry rytm.
Obiad przygotowałam wcześniej, bo plan był konkretny – spacer. Ale nie taki byle jaki! Mój mąż, po 24-godzinnej służbie, zamiast wskoczyć pod kołdrę, uparł się na 20-kilometrową trasę na Jaz Opatowicki. Trochę się zastanawiałam, czy to nie za dużo, ale jak się powiedziało A... to razem powiedzieliśmy: „Idziemy!”
Pogoda nie była jak wczoraj – słońce schowało się za chmurami, a wiatr lekko targał kurtkami – ale może i dobrze. Szło się znakomicie. Byliśmy razem, bez pośpiechu, tylko my, droga, przyroda i rozmowy. Dopiero na ostatnich kilometrach zaczęliśmy czuć zmęczenie. Ale 35 tysięcy kroków później – satysfakcja była ogromna.
Wieczorem jeszcze rodzinne Scrabble, śmiech i przytulasy. A teraz – ciepła kąpiel i zasłużony masaż nóg w moich magicznych nogawkach do presoterapii.
Weekend pełną parą. Dziękuję, życiu – tak właśnie chcę spędzać swoje dni.
