A in Motion – Morning Walk Instead of Coffee

Today started off actively – 22,614 steps is no joke! The morning greeted me with a light fog and a temperature of around 8°C – a bit chilly, but you can already feel that spring is on its way. I took a chance with my outfit: sweatshirt, vest, and one of my favorite scarves. At first, I thought I might have underdressed, but once I picked up the pace, I warmed up quickly.

I left home early, so I had time for a quick stroll through the park. That was a brilliant idea – a morning walk works better than a strong coffee. My heart rate stayed around 110 bpm, and my body kicked into fat-burning mode almost immediately. I covered 6.67 km in just over an hour, with an average pace of 10:35 min/km – relaxed and mindful, with space to think and settle into the day.

At preschool, Mondays are always intense, and today we had a recitation contest, so the kids were buzzing with excitement from the get-go. Thankfully, the afternoon stayed dry, and from 1 to 4 PM, we were outside, letting everyone safely release all those built-up emotions.

I walked home too, grabbed a few groceries on the way, and squeezed in a short resistance workout. The evening was peaceful – dinner, a warm bath, and some quiet reflection. It really was a good day. I started it with movement and ended it the same way – with a smile on my face.

Dziś dzień zaczął się aktywnie – 22 614 kroków to nie przelewki! Poranek przywitał mnie lekką mgłą i temperaturą około 8 stopni – niby chłodno, ale już czuć, że wiosna się zbliża. Zaryzykowałam stylówkę: bluza, bezrękawnik i mój ukochany szal – i chociaż na początku marszu zaczęłam mieć wątpliwości, czy nie przesadziłam z lekkością, to po kilku minutach szybkiego kroku zrobiło mi się ciepło jak w maju.

Wyszłam wcześnie, więc udało mi się zahaczyć o park. To był strzał w dziesiątkę – spacer o świcie działał lepiej niż mocna kawa. Serducho biło w rytmie 110 uderzeń na minutę, a organizm od razu wskoczył w tryb „spalanie tłuszczu”. Przeszłam 6,67 km w nieco ponad godzinę, z tempem 10:35 min/km – bez ciśnienia, za to z głową pełną myśli i spokojem przed intensywnym dniem.

W przedszkolu poniedziałek jak zwykle nie zawiódł – konkurs recytatorski rozbudził dzieci od samego rana, więc emocji było sporo. Na szczęście pogoda dopisała i po obiedzie mogliśmy spędzić czas na świeżym powietrzu, pozwalając maluchom (i sobie!) rozładować nagromadzone napięcie.

Do domu wróciłam piechotą, po drodze ogarnęłam drobne zakupy, a na deser – krótki trening oporowy. Wieczór już spokojny: kolacja, kąpiel i chwila refleksji. To był dobry dzień. Zaczęłam go ruchem i tak też go zakończyłam – z uśmiechem.
