Lazy Sunday that turned into an active afternoon


Sunday started off exceptionally lazy. Waking up at 8:00 felt like a real luxury, considering that I usually get up at 5:00. The weather outside wasn’t inviting – heavy clouds and chilly air made staying under a blanket the most tempting option. So, we kicked off the day with a movie marathon, catching up on Netflix’s latest releases.

After lunch, however, we decided it was time to get some fresh air. We chose a route along the Oder River boulevards, heading toward the Centennial Hall and the Pergola. What was supposed to be a short walk quickly turned into a solid 13 km trek! Along the way, we passed some of Wrocław’s most iconic spots – the Grunwaldzki Bridge, picturesque riverside views, and the charming corners of Szczytnicki Park. On the way back, we opted for a route through Niskie Łąki, where we could enjoy a break from the city's hustle and bustle.

The walk lasted over three hours, but it was totally worth it – we burned 866 kcal and, most importantly, recharged our energy for the upcoming week. Once back home, a quick dinner, a relaxing lymphatic massage, and a warm bath were the perfect way to end the day.

Even a lazy Sunday can turn into a solid dose of movement and satisfaction!

Leniwa niedziela, która zmieniła się w aktywne popołudnie

Niedziela rozpoczęła się wyjątkowo leniwie. Pobudka o 8:00 to dla mnie prawdziwy luksus, biorąc pod uwagę, że na co dzień wstaję o 5:00. Pogoda za oknem nie zachęcała do wychodzenia – ciężkie chmury i chłód sprawiały, że najchętniej zostałoby się pod kocem. Zaczęliśmy więc dzień od filmowego maratonu, nadrabiając nowości z Netflixa.

Po obiedzie jednak stwierdziliśmy, że pora przewietrzyć głowy. Wybraliśmy trasę prowadzącą nadodrzańskimi bulwarami w kierunku Hali Stulecia i pergoli. Spacer, który miał być krótki, szybko zmienił się w solidne 13 km wędrówki! Po drodze mijaliśmy charakterystyczne punkty Wrocławia – Most Grunwaldzki, malownicze okolice Odry i klimatyczne zakątki parku Szczytnickiego. W drodze powrotnej zdecydowaliśmy się na trasę przez Niskie Łąki, gdzie mogliśmy odpocząć od miejskiego zgiełku.

Spacer trwał ponad trzy godziny, ale warto było – udało się spalić 866 kcal i przede wszystkim naładować energię na nadchodzący tydzień. Po powrocie szybka kolacja, relaksujący masaż limfatyczny i kąpiel – idealne zakończenie dnia.

Nawet leniwa niedziela może zakończyć się sporą dawką ruchu i satysfakcji!
