Evening Walk in Wrocław – The Best Reset.

Yesterday was Saturday, and my husband was on duty, so I spent the evening alone. The day started lazily – a late breakfast, grocery shopping for the upcoming week, house cleaning, and cooking dinner for my little crew. At some point, I felt completely drained, so I allowed myself a one-hour nap… which turned into almost three hours. After waking up, I felt slightly better, but the gym was completely out of the question.

I checked my step count – barely 2,000! I knew I had to do something about it. I considered going ice skating but ultimately decided on a walk. Even when I lack energy, this activity always brings me peace. I aimed for 5 km, but as usual, I got carried away by the city, and it turned into over 10 km.

Wrocław’s Old Town and Ostrów Tumski in the evening have a unique atmosphere. The snow danced in the streetlights, and I soaked in the fleeting moment in my own company. Along the way, I stopped for coffee, browsed through Galeria Dominikańska, and returned home after 10 PM, feeling satisfied, relaxed, and with a solid step count. Music in my ears, fresh air, and a walk that gave me exactly what I needed – a reset after a long week. Sometimes, these moments alone are the best form of rest.

Wczoraj była sobota, a mój mąż miał służbę, więc wieczór spędziłam sama. Dzień zaczął się leniwie – późniejsze śniadanie, zakupy na przyszły tydzień, domowe porządki i obiad dla mojej gromadki. W pewnym momencie poczułam, że opadam z sił, więc pozwoliłam sobie na godzinną drzemkę… która przeciągnęła się do prawie trzech godzin. Po przebudzeniu czułam się nieco lepiej, ale siłownia zupełnie nie wchodziła w grę.

Spojrzałam na liczbę kroków – ledwie 2000! Wiedziałam, że muszę coś z tym zrobić. Zastanawiałam się nad łyżwami, ale ostatecznie postawiłam na spacer. Nawet gdy brakuje mi energii, to właśnie ta aktywność zawsze przynosi mi ukojenie. Celowałam w 5 km, ale jak to zwykle bywa – dałam się ponieść miastu i wyszło ponad 10 km.

Wrocławska starówka i Ostrów Tumski wieczorem mają swój niepowtarzalny klimat. Śnieg tańczył w świetle latarni, a ja chłonęłam tę ulotną chwilę w swoim własnym towarzystwie. Po drodze zatrzymałam się na kawę, zajrzałam do Galerii Dominikańskiej i wróciłam do domu po 22, zadowolona, wyciszona i z solidnym wynikiem na liczniku kroków. Muzyka na uszach, świeże powietrze i spacer, który dał mi to, czego potrzebowałam – reset po całym tygodniu. Czasem takie momenty dla siebie są najlepszą formą odpoczynku.
