Mi reporte de Actifict: abril 17 2024 - #SWC
Ayer tuve la oportunidad de asistir a una presentación en la universidad URU, gracias a una invitación que llegó a mi universidad. Fue un evento al que asistieron estudiantes de varias instituciones, y aunque inicialmente pensamos que estaría relacionado con la beca que el gobierno nos ha estado otorgando, resultó ser algo completamente diferente.
Al principio, me sentí un poco desorientado, sin entender completamente el propósito del evento. Sin embargo, decidí mantener una mente abierta, aceptando que ya estaba allí y que podría aprender algo nuevo. La charla se centró en los valores y las “palabras mágicas” como “gracias” y “perdón”. Me hizo reflexionar sobre cómo estas simples expresiones pueden mejorar la forma en que los demás nos ven y, a su vez, cómo nos sentimos con nosotros mismos.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a presentation at the URU university, thanks to an invitation that came to my university. It was an event attended by students from various institutions, and although we initially thought it would be related to the scholarship that the government has been granting us, it turned out to be something completely different.
At first, I felt a bit disoriented, not fully understanding the purpose of the event. However, I decided to keep an open mind, accepting that I was already there and could learn something new. The talk focused on values and "magic words" such as "thank you" and "sorry." It made me reflect on how these simple expressions can improve the way others see us and, in turn, how we feel about ourselves.

Además, tuvimos la suerte de disfrutar de la actuación de un mago que, además de ser muy cómico, compartió palabras hermosas que resonaron con todos nosotros. El evento culminó con un baile típico de mi tierra, el joropo, que fue ejecutado magistralmente por los bailarines. Me divertí mucho con mis compañeros, y aunque al principio no estaba seguro de qué esperar, terminé agradeciendo haber asistido.
Este evento me enseñó que a veces, las experiencias más inesperadas pueden ser las más enriquecedoras. Agradezco a la universidad URU por abrirnos las puertas a esta experiencia cultural y por recordarnos el poder que tienen las palabras y las tradiciones para unirnos.
En base a esto gracias por leer mi post, y te invito a agradecer diariamente a la vida y a quienes te rodean.
In addition, we were fortunate to enjoy the performance of a magician who, besides being very funny, shared beautiful words that resonated with all of us. The event culminated with a typical dance from my homeland, the joropo, which was masterfully executed by the dancers. I had a great time with my peers, and although at first I wasn't sure what to expect, I ended up being grateful to have attended.
This event taught me that sometimes, the most unexpected experiences can be the most enriching. I thank URU for opening the doors to this cultural experience and for reminding us of the power of words and traditions to bring us together.
