Midweek is here. I made an interesting call today. The government started a program last year so citizens can afford to rent. In Ghana, house owners take advance rent of upto 3 years before giving their houses out. The lowest is 1 year rent advance. The scheme was supposed to help prospective tenants afford the advance rent and pay it back to the government at a 12% interest rate. I applied on March 7, 2024 and till now, I've not received it. I called them today and the customer service agent said they currently have a power outage so they will call me back when the lights come. They never did. This is money I've budgeted with. I hope it comes soon.
