Mi pasatiempo: ser el jugador número 6.
Hola mis queridos amigos de @lifestyle espero que se encuentren muy bien, porque hoy quiero hablar de algo super importante en mi vida, una faceta que muchos reconocen en mi y que no puedo publicar en otra comunidad porque sencillamente DEPORTISTA NO SOY, sino que pertenezco a la categoria de las personas que animamos a los equipos, en este caso:
La fanática de los deportes de mi casa
Puedo decir que según las clasificaciones de género, las mujeres nos dedicamos a las cosas femeninas: baile, danza, música, canto, arte, y si decidimos algún deporte es gimnasia, tenis o voleibol. Menos mal que nací en una época donde estas barreras se han ido venciendo y hoy podemos ver campeonas de alterofilia, boxeo o estrellas en el fútbol.

Hello my dear friends of @lifestyle I hope you are very well, because today I want to talk about something super important in my life, a facet that many recognize in me and that I can't publish in another community because I am simply NOT A SPORTS FAN, but I fall into the category of people who cheer for teams, in this case: The sports fan in my house. I can say that according to gender classifications, women are dedicated to feminine things: dancing, dancing, music, singing, art, and if we decide on a sport, it's gymnastics, tennis or volleyball. Fortunately, I was born in a time when these barriers have been overcome and today we can see female champions in alterophilia, boxing or champions in football.
En mi hogar, mis hermanos en sus años de juventud fueron jugadores de básket, y yo a decir verdad también participé en una que otra contienda pero ¡Que va! eso no es lo mío; es decir, yo reconozco mis limitaciones y ni una sentadilla soy capaz de hacer, así que menos pasar 2 horas corriendo la cancha de lado y lado detrás de un balón.
Por eso prefiero ser: la número 6 de mi equipo de basket, es decir, el público que los acompaña.
Pero resulta, que aquí no queda mi pasión por los deportes. No puedo decir cuando inició solo sé que puedo ver "casi" todos los deportes y conocer un poquito de cada uno de ellos. Para mí, es muy común sentarme a ver un premio de Formula 1, desde su Pole position hasta el día de la carrera; mi favorita es el premio de Mónaco porque es un circuito dentro de la ciudad y el de Dubai porque se corre de noche y las estrategias deben cambiar.
Igualmente, si me gustan las motos ¡Obvio que veo un campeonato de Moto GP! Y aunque no es uno de los pilotos que comandan el mundial, me gusta el español Espargaro, porque su moto es bonita (solo por eso).
Si me voy a los deportes olímpicos, puedo no ser fiel seguidora de las clasificaciones, pero puedo disfrutar del tiro con arcos, clavados e incluso los triatlones porque es altruista ver como esos atletas dejan todo su esfuerzo y práctica durante 4 años, en esos pocos segundos ¡Son admirables!
In my home, my brothers were basketball players in their youth, and to tell the truth, I also participated in a game or two, but that's not my thing; I mean, I recognise my limitations and I can't even do a squat, let alone spend 2 hours running up and down the court behind a ball. That's why I prefer to be: the number 6 of my basketball team, that is to say, the public that accompanies them.
But it turns out that this is not the end of my passion for sports. I can't say when it started, I just know that I can watch "almost" all sports and know a little bit about each of them. For me, it is very common to sit and watch a Formula 1 race, from the pole position until the day of the race; my favourite is the Monaco race because it is a circuit inside the city and the Dubai race because it is at night and the strategies must change. And although he is not one of the leading riders in the world championship, I like the Spanish rider Espargaro, because his bike is beautiful (just for that reason). If I go to Olympic sports, I may not be a loyal follower of the rankings, but I can enjoy archery, diving and even triathlons because it is altruistic to see how these athletes leave all their effort and practice for 4 years, in those few seconds.
Por este motivo, es común que yo pueda perfectamente disfrutar de un mundial de Futbol, Ver el futbol americano o Hockey, también si hay algún evento latinoamericano que llame mi atención sin fastidiarme o que pueda ser incomprensible para mí. Por ello, yo soy catalogada en mi casa "como un macho mas" cuando se habla de deportes, porque yo los puedo ver incluso más que los hombres y discutirlo con quien sea, ojo siempre citando las fuentes que dicen los comentaristas o estrategas del momento, nada que se me ocurra a mi porque no soy adicta ni profesional, tampoco así.
For this reason, it is common that I can perfectly enjoy a World Cup, watch American football or hockey, even if there is a Latin American event that catches my attention without annoying me or that may be incomprehensible to me. Therefore, I am catalogued in my house "as a macho man" when talking about sports, because I can watch them even more than men and discuss it with anyone, always quoting the sources that say the commentators or strategists of the moment, nothing that occurs to me because I am addicted and professional, not like that either.
Mi pasatiempo con el basket
En el país (como todo lo que hay aquí) hubo un problema con la liga profesional de baloncesto; siempre el asunto del dinero. En mi estado, obviamente también hubo problemas económicos y de poder, lo que terminó por sacar al equipo más ganador de títulos nacionales del evento competitivo (también se dio un problema con incumplimiento de pago al comité internacional).
El hecho es, que tuve que migrar de equipo, pero no me fui a los rivales (aunque son buenos, por cuestion de honor), así que me decidí a apoyar a la Guaira que era un equipo nada ganador pero con un juego interesante.
My hobby with basketball. In the country (like everything here) there was a problem with the professional basketball league; always the issue of money. In my state, obviously there were also economic and power problems, which ended up taking the team that won the most national titles out of the competitive event (there was also a problem with non-payment to the international committee). The fact is, I had to migrate to another team, but I didn't go to the rivals (although they are good, as a matter of honour), so I decided to support La Guaira, which was not a winning team but with an interesting game.
En pandemia, volvió en otro formato el basket a mi ciudad ¡Al fin! Y aunque en principio se jugó en otra sede, ha ido captando la atención de la fanaticada hasta el punto, que ¡ESTAMOS EN LA FINAL! Y yo considero que nosotros, los que apoyamos el equipo tenemos mucho que ver en ello.
El deporte es estrategia, condición física, disciplina, carácter, estudio de las jugadas y bla bla bla, pero ellos son humanos y se manejan con emociones; allí es donde entra el trabajo del "sexto hombre". Nosotros cantamos, acompañamos, aplaudimos, nos involucramos en el juego y estudiamos al rival como si estuviesemos en cancha.
A mi me da risa, porque me he notado gritando cosas como: "AGARRA LA PELOTA", "CORREEE", "PASALA", "ÁRBITRO VENDIDO" Y otras más que después me dan risa porque es como que me quiero meter por la pantalla (cuando veo el juego por la tv) o en la cancha y ser yo la que haga todo, cuando ni siquiera sé correr (triste pero cierto🤣). Entonces, esto le da ánimo al deportista, le llena de alegría, le pone alerta que hay un público exigente que esta allí viendolo y eso le hace ser mas competitivo y eficiente.
In pandemic, basketball returned in another format to my city, at last! And although at first it was played in another city, it has captured the attention of the fans to the point that WE ARE IN THE FINAL! And I believe that those of us who support the team have a lot to do with it.
Sport is strategy, physical condition, discipline, character, study of the plays and blah blah blah, but they are human and they deal with emotions; that is where the work of the "sixth man" comes in. We sing, we accompany, we applaud, we get involved in the game and we study the opponent as if we were on the pitch. It makes me laugh, because I've caught myself saying things like: "GRAB THE BALL", "RUN", "PASS IT ON", "SOLD-OUT REFEEREE" and others that make me laugh because it's like I want to get through the screen (when I watch the game on TV) or on the pitch and be the one to do everything, when I can't even run (sad but true🤣). So, this gives encouragement to the athlete, fills him with joy, makes him aware that there is a demanding public that is there watching him and that makes him more competitive and efficient.
Ayer veía a nuestra reina del salto Yulimar Rojas, como ella misma le pedía al público que le aplaudiera para motivarse a hacerlo muy bien; Eso obtuvo resultados positivos: medalla de oro, record en los juegos y clasificación a las olimpiadas ¡Toda una hazaña! pero si no hubiese unos fans que la motivan, seguramente no llegaría muy lejos porque no tiene a quien mostrarse.
Por eso, yo me considero que mas que un pasatiempo, es una pasión apoyar a mi equipo siempre, desde que inicia la temporada hasta el final de sus días, saber de sus jugadores, ver sus estadísticas y los récords que rompen continuamente, algunos datos curiosos y sobre todo (en el caso del basket) ir al complejo deportivo a gritar, apoyar, celebrar, divertirme y ser feliz haciendo lo que me apasiona. Eso si, cuando termina la temporada, entonces busco otro deporte que ver porque "así soy" siempre pendiente de lo que hacen a nivel deportivo que me interese.
Yesterday I saw our queen of show jumping, Yulimar Rojas, as she herself asked the public to applaud her to motivate her to do very well; she obtained positive results: gold medal, record in the games and qualification to the Olympics, quite a feat! But if there were no fans to motivate her, surely she would not get very far because she has no one to show her off to. That's why I consider myself that more than a hobby, it is a passion to support my team always, from the beginning of the season until the end of their days, to know about their players, to see their statistics and the records they break continuously, some curious facts and above all (in the case of basketball) to go to the sports complex to shout, support, celebrate, have fun and be happy doing what I am passionate about. Of course, when the season ends, then I look for another sport to watch because _that's how I am_, always looking for what they do at a sporting level that interests me.
Por último, recomiendo seguir siempre sus pasiones, algo que lo vuelvan cotidiano, amantes de lo que les gusta: correr, cantar, bailar, pintar, ver series, siempre es bueno tener un espacio íntimo donde podemos ser nosotros y sentir emociones como alegrías o tristezas, eso nos mantiene en equilibrio ¡No se limiten! y siempre sientanse curiosas (os) de aprender o disfrutar cosas aunque los demás quieran limitarlos solo para un género preestablecido.

Finally, I recommend to always follow your passions, something that you make everyday, lovers of what you like: running, singing, dancing, painting, watching series, it's always good to have an intimate space where we can be ourselves and feel emotions like happiness or sadness, that keeps us in balance, don't limit yourselves! and always feel curious to learn or enjoy things even if others want to limit you only to a pre-established genre.
