41729!! That's the kind of 1-day step total I knew I had in me!

My Sunday started at midnight in a rush since we only found out at 11.40pm that the festival grounds would be reopened from 12am to 4am after the storm finally broke. I hustled around camp to get everything sorted after the storm and busted my butt to get back to the entrance and beat the crowds queueing up to reenter the venue site.

Artists were given new set times, and as a result, two of the headliners we came to see now conflicted for over an hour 😭 Fortunately, Barclay Crenshaw was moved to the mainstage and played a wonky bass set to get the crowd ready for one of the feature attractions -- Subtronics!

We stuck around at main stage for the first 20 minutes of Subtronics' set, but then high tailed it over to the far stage (Sherwood Court). We couldn't pass up the opportunity to catch the first-ever LSZ set, a collaboration between CloZee and LSDream. They were excellent and remixed my favorite tune, "Eternal Now," in a very memorable way!

After the final set, it was 4am. I didn't have the energy left for afters. My partner went to go visit some friends, and I stopped at the pancake shop on "Main Street" for some of that sweet 4G data. I had to submit my Splinterlands brawls and post my Saturday Actifit report, of course!!

My alarm woke me up at 10.45am so I'd have time to prep for noon yoga. I knew I was on my own for this one, but I love the Sunday yoga since it is the most transformative and restorative practice of the weekend. I got back in the venue with 10 minutes to spare and set up a nice spot right near the front of the field.

Halfway through the yoga class, the sun finally came back out after the storm. When the yoga session ended, they blasted "Here Comes The Sun" and that set the tone for a sunny Sunday afternoon. I hustled back to camp to round up my partner for LSDream's Lightcode set.

She was in good spirits after sleeping in past noon and realizing our camp setup survived the storm. We got ready for the contemplative soundbath set at 2.30pm and headed in to snag a spot in the back in the shade. I knew we were likely to get stuck next to talkers if we hunkered down in the back, but it was the price to be paid for the shade. It was never even a decision for my partner!

We got to experience Lightcode next to each other on our yoga mats. It was one of my highlights of the weekend for allowing us the time to slow down and be present with each other in the moment. But after those precious moments, I had to go back to camp one more time to pack up our site.

We decided we would leave after the action on Sunday night and take turns sleeping in the car rather than sleep at camp and pack up on Monday morning. I knew this would be better for us to get home at a reasonable time Monday night after our 14-hour drive home, especially for my partner who has work on Tuesday.

I missed some artists that had gotten rescheduled for Sunday, but thankfully packed up quickly enough to catch the last hour of Inzo's set at Sherwood Court. Then my partner and I caught up with the rest of our festival family to end the event at main stage to see Gigantic Nghtmre and Excision.

It was absolute scenes on Sunday night at Ranch Arena for the long-awaited debut of Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE on Electric Forest's main stage! But then, as we waited during the transition before Excision's set, disaster struck yet again! Pockets of thunderstorms forced the event team to evacuate the venue 20 minutes before Excision's 11.30pm set was slated to start.

One thing is for sure, I got more steps walking out of the venue for the fourth time of the day! Would we get back inside to see Excision take over Rothbury? Check back tomorrow to find out! Now it is time to rest in my bed, home sweet home so soon!
