Evening Run - 6km (getting something done)
dannewton just finished a 6.35km run, that lasted for 40 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 488.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Bah! Annoying hip injury is still being annoying!
Its been 4 days since I last went for a run. My hip feels ok while walking around the house, and indeed felt fine on my 8 mile walk on Sunday, but as soon as I start running, the pain flares up again.
Its not as noticeable as it was which is something, but it is still taking awhile to get better. You might well suggest I stop running completely to help rest it, but I feel that doing that won't help. I still need to be active on it, even if I drastically cut back on the training load that I was previously on.
I do have my physio appointment next monday, so fingers crossed the therapist, can work her magic and sort me out... or at the very least provide some form of feedback which can help me get back running normally again.
Next week is my birthday, and I've taken the whole thing off work... I was planning a nice long run to celebrate (I ran a marathon for my birthday last year), but its not looking like I can do that this year :-(
Looks like I'm gonna have to find something else to occupy me instead... maybe a couple of nice long walks if I can find somewhere interesting to go (and if the weather stays suitable!)
In other news, those wretched headphones that I had been waiting all weekend for, finally turned up today, so thats something good ticked off at least. And I've actually managed to find time do do some more of my accountancy course, so there's a thin sliver of a positive to not running as much I guess!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

I hope you haven't got what I have. It seems to persist and came back after some physiotherapy. I may have to get it looked at again.
Still not entirely sure what I've got, but yes I don't want it lingering any longer than necessary!
I know yours has been on and off for several months now... have you had any scans on it, or is it just the physio examining you?
I've only got the opinion of the physio. I would like it to go away.

Take it easy Dan. You gotta heal up. I know hard but you gotta be patient...
What... you mean be sensible and do the right thing to benefit my body...I'm pretty rubbish at doing that!!
Not good at this 'patience' lark either, but I'm trying!
