Description from Strava:
Well, with my easy recovery week completed (and feeling pretty good), it was time to through myself back in to training properly. The run on Monday evening has always been an easy zone 2 effort to start the week, and so it was tonight

I was working at home as I usually do on Mondays, today was actually quite quiet on the work front...I'm not gonna complain too much though as I know we are nearing the end of the financial year, so its gonna become rather chaotic over the coming weeks!

I finished at 5pm, and managed to get changed and out the door by 10 past...

As mentioned, today was meant to be an easy 10 miles or so. I usually trudge up along the bypass and back... today was gonna be different. I've recently found a new route to run, which is a similar distance but it goes in a mostly circular loop between 3 villages

Its quieter, and much more interesting, and thus much more enjoyable

I've only run the route once before, so I added the route to my watch so I would be less likely to get lost:

The route starts on the bypass, and then turns left to run through Branston. I then touch the edge of Heighington, before cutting through Washingborough to join back on to the bypass and head for home.

Not only is it on small and quiet roads, but there is a path along the whole route, and 98% of it also has streetlights, which is also a plus!

A lovely little route, and a lovely little run too. I was aiming for easy Zone 2 stuff, and I managed that comfortably. I was surprised that I was able to maintain an average pace of 5:56 min/km, for the whole duration:

Really happy with that. Running at under 6 min/km pace isn't new to me, but being able to maintain it with such a low intensity is... 😁

Anyway... time for a shower, and then to get ready for work in the office tomorrow. I also have an enormous blister on my heel (from the long run from the weekend before last. I have 2 days before running again, so I'm gonna do the necessary and pop the damn thing. Don't worry, I know you're all eating your tea, I'm not gonna post any pictures of it!!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

When the week starts well like this, the person is very recharged throughout the week and continues to run like this every day.

How I really wish I can be quite consistent with my workout just as you

If the start of the week begins with this type of activity, then the entire week of a person remains fresh.
You are doing great.
