dannewton just finished a 9.26km run, that lasted for 60 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 694.0 calories.

Description from Strava: And after such disappointing weekend running-wise... today's run was so generic and uneventful, it was almost boring

I'm not complaining though, I'd take boring over chaotic any day of the week!

Anyway, I was back to the usual standard Monday run. I was working from home today, and I had planned to finish at 4pm. Right at the last minute I found out I need to phone a supplier to check some details, so I stayed on to try to talk to them. And even though they had asked me to call them, suddenly no one was available to answer the phone. Really annoying, so at 4:45 I gave up trying, and sent them a grumpy email instead saying I would try again in the morning.

So a little late than planned, I got changed and headed out. I was in shorts and a long sleeve t-shirt, but tit still felt surprisingly warm out there, especially as we are now into October. I guess I should try to enjoy it while it lasts, as I'm sure the wind and the rain will be here soon enough!

It was another run out on the bypass, and another casual zone 2 plod. I did take a torch with me, but although the sun was just about dipping below the horizon on the way home i didn't need to use it this evening.

We've got a couple of weeks until the clocks go back an hour, and then all the evening runs will be done under the cover of darkness (and that torch will be essential then).

Now for tonight I need to go for a shower, and then iron my shirts for this week. Tomorrow will probably be a full rest day in terms of exercise. For the last few weeks I have been walking the 7km home from work on Tuesdays evenings, but I think I'll give that a miss tomorrow.

Next run will be on Wednesday, something between 10-14km but I guess I'll see how I feel on the day...

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

Yep. And in the end I was stressing for no reason, as I was able to talk to them at 9am the next day and got it all sorted!

I do like to start Monday on the right foot, sets me up for a productive week :-)

I did think about going for a walk on Tuesday, but decided a rest would be more useful for once (its not often I say that!)

It is pretty cool to engage in exercise and run as it helps one to stay healthy.

It has actually been long I enagged in long run

Yep, it's all good as part of a healthy routine.

I know what you mean. In the past I took a break from exercising, and I lost the regular routine. It was hard to get that started again, but I'm sure you can do if you try, just have to take your time to ease back into it :-)

Yea the issue with me is not even starting but been consistent. The passion is always there to start but the consistent is not always there to keep it going

Well it's good to hear you're (mostly) back to "normal".

Please just make sure you're normal stays your normal and not their normal.

Because you're awesome :)

Just swinging by to remind you, in case nobody told you today. 😊

'Normal' was in reference to how my weekend went (which was frustrating on many levels). Feeling better now :-)

Yes it definitely is my 'normal', I try not to care or worry about what other people think (some people are interesting though, and their opinions DO matter, like you for one ❤️)

Thanks for the reminder, I do frequently forget!

Haw!

Thanks, only Dan. The best kinda Dan.

I'm super glad you're up and running (almost entirely) again! Pain in the... well... in the knee when you can't run.

p.s. Have you seen The Alpinist yet?

I think you may enjoy it and "get it".

Take care of you. And glad you stick to staying you!

Remind me too, please!

Er I have not... had a quick google and it looks pretty interesting to be fair

well, not so much the Solo Free Climbing as i'm not overly comfortable with heights, but the whole thing of being in the moment, and doing something purely for its own sake and not to try to impress anyone else, that's really refreshing to see

... will definitely make a note to see if I can find it on netflix somewhere.

Makes a note: remind Nicky that she is totally awesome too!

This guy "got it". And yessssss! That exactly. See? I know you'd get it too!

Oh. Thank you! I needed that today 🌸

:D

Must learn to make notes as well.

Stay awesome just another Dan! Because you are! 💥😀
