When I was young they used to say "Red skies in the morning, shepherd's warning "

Today there were lovely red skies as I left the house and walked for the train. I guess the warning in the old saying was right though as it absolutely tipped down with rain later in the day.

Luckily it had stopped raining again by the time I walked home in the evening.
