My Actifit Report Card: November 1 2024
So today was the first official day that I kicked off some training for running a 5K!
Once again, I’m not signed up for any race or event. This is only for myself to improve my timing as I continue to do more miles.
Injuries slowed me down during the workout, so I found myself walking more than I expected. The good news though is that my cardio has been solid and that wasn’t issue for me, or at least not a limiting factor.
The time isn’t great, but knowing that I battled through injuries and finished is what is important. I’m going to take the weekend to rest and do some other light activities and weight training and be back at it next week.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Not a bad start! Do you have a target pace you want to get to? I remember the good days when I could get a 5K done in about 30 minutes! I am 5-6 minutes off that pace!
I forgot what I ran my fastest 5k in back in the day, but for now 30 min what I'm aiming for as well! Still have a ways to go but thanks for the motivation!
So you average 160 BPM? that's really huge, and hitting numbers like this really scare me. how long till you HR goes below 100?
Although I have a heart and other health condition, I cannot do these numbers
I don't know that my tracker is accurate on that, it seems rather high.
It is important to start slow and build up over time start with 3k jogging/walking after each week add 500 meters. That way you slowly let your muscles, joints and ligaments adjust otherwise you risk injuries. Your muscles may remember how to run 5k, but your body is not ready...
Thanks for the tips!
Solid numbers. Good luck with training! I completely flopped on logging Day 1 of November.
