My Actifit Report Card: October 30 2024
First official day of training for the 5K!
I’m not signed up for a race or anything, but as I stated previously, my goal is to get my 5K time down as much as possible. At the very least I’d like to be where I was when I was running consistently many years ago.
With all the other cardio training that I’ve been doing recently I noticed that it wasn’t my stamina that was holding me back during the session. Instead, it was my knees and other injuries I’ve had that kept nagging at me. I’ll continue pushing through though and hope to strengthen my body overall.
I’ve started thinking about getting new shoes even though the ones I have aren’t that old. I think they are just active shoes though and not specific for running or specifically for my foot type. I’ll see how it feels after a couple of runs.
Excited to be back at it and hope you guys are crushing your goals!

A show fitted for running might just do the wonders like you've stated. Do you have a big foot type?
No but I do have flat feet and need something with a good arch.
Ohh that's understandable..
LOLZ
I'm right there with ya when it comes to distance training... it is the impact that feels like it limits me. I'm much more comfortable rowing or striding on the elliptical. Road running is the worst for me, but I don't mind getting out on a trail!
