Steem Power Up Day #7 was another success.

1. Steem Power Up Day #7 - preliminary results
Organiser @streetstyle has posted the preliminary results of the seventh Steem Power Up Day (SPUD 007).
Over 30 steemians made qualifying power-ups.
The final results are still to be confirmed but the provisional placings were... 1st @paragism (185% power-up), 2nd @ph1102 (158%) and 3rd @darrenfj (87%).
The winners will be rewarded from the 11K SP prize pool sponsored by @xpilar, @sultan-aceh, @daviddickeyyall, @pennsif, @steemit-nz, @tattoodjay, @improv, @reflektor, @hingsten, @bethvalverde, @bippe, and @traciyork...
2. NextColony Market is Live
The marketplace is now live in steem space game @NextColony.
Players will be able to buy ships, planets and items for Stardust.
Trades will be subject to 8% fees which will be burned to act as a sink for the Stardust token...
3. Steem2020 contest - 10 days left to enter
Over 30 entries have now been received for the the Steem2020 contest.
Thanks to generous sponsorship from @theycallmedan, @yabapmatt , @starkerz and @good-karma the prize pool now stands at the equivalent of over 1500 STEEM.
The contest closes on 12 November...
4. Steem Telegram Fraud Prevention
Top 20 witness @therealwolf has posted a warning about fraudulent Telegram groups pretending to be official Steem channels - particularly those offering scam airdrops.

5. Steem Proposal System updates
The daily funding budget in the SPS currently stands at over 1250 SBD.
At the moment only about a sixth of that is being allocated with just two projects now receiving funding - @inertia for his documentation work (130 SBD/day), and @steemchiller (77 SBD/day) for Steemworld development.
The votes on the Return Proposal have now increased to 13.71 million SP pushing @howo's proposal down below the funding threshold...
Witness developer @emrebeyler, whose Public Hivemind Service project had yesterday been receiving funding, has decided to withdraw his proposal and return the funds received to @steem.dao...
Top 20 witness @thecryptodrive has put forward a 'consensus proposal' to the SPS for the power-down period to be reduced from 13 weeks to 4 weeks...
This is a consensus proposal to allow witnesses and stakeholders to vote on this change being implemented in the next HF, thereby recording their approval on-chain.
The proposed change is to reduce the current 13-week power down schedule to 4 weeks. The reason for selecting 4 weeks was to still provide some lockup protection within the 30-day account recovery period.

You could talk about the downvoting mafia pushing 2-3 years old Steemians to power down and stop posting.
