The prizes are meant to incentivize the smaller Steemians, the planktons, minnows and barracudas out in the Steem Ocean to participate in powering up on SPUD, and hopefully create more understanding as to why Steem Power is what backs the Steem Economy.

SPUD is a proof our concern for Steem. By this action we can show our real action for keep steem value. Because one of factors which influence steem price is demand an supply of steem. with our action to convert steem into a SP and stop power down , no sell steem it will make liquid steem decrease. and because of it we hop the steem price will grow well.
I know your post last year for suggesting power up and i follow your suggest. I know my participation is still a little but i want to make SPUD as a way to make me that our community has concern to the steem and blockchain.

Risking all steem for strength, is the most important form in supporting spud. hopefully many people will participate in spud. this is a very extraordinary initiative. I really support this program.
