Mkhitaryan: I missed Arsenal

ROME (Reuters) - Armenian playmaker Henrik Mkhitaryan said he had moved to Calcio looking for the happiness he had missed in England after two unexplained experiences in Manchester United and Arsenal.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Armenian star said: "I needed to enjoy football, no matter where, in England I am no longer happy months."

"I received a call from my agent, and I wanted to come because it was a great opportunity for me. I didn't even discuss my agent's money," he said. "Maybe I didn't get along well with English football, so change was required."

"In the last month I didn't feel happy at Arsenal, so I thought it was good to go to Rome to find happiness again in football," Mkhitaryan said of his English experience.

Mkhitaryan moved from Manchester United to Arsenal in 2018, but he did not manage to adapt again to the English stadiums, to move loaned to Roma, during the last summer transfer window.
