The Most Disappointing Penalty Kick I've Ever Seen (Video)
There are several disappointing penalty kick I've seen but the most disappointing one for me has to be that of Ghanaian Gyan Assamoah against Uruguay in 2010 Fifa World Cup quarter final
Sadly, in the history of FIFA World Cup no African team has ever broken the jinx of making it to the semi final. African have been know to be eliminated in the group stage and at most the round of 16. The highest African teams have ever gone is the quarter final and those teams that have made this far were Cameroon in 1990, Senegal on 2002 and Ghana in 2010
What da fck was Gyan Assamoah thinking when he played the penalty hitting the bar? A penalty that could have broken the jinx of the quarter final which Africa hasn't gone beyond. The penalty bruised and put every African football fan in a sober mood and to make matters worse, they lost the game to Uruguay and was sent home packing
Gyan Assamoah is a great player no doubt just that poo do happen sometimes in football. His penalty miss remains my most disappointing penally kicks
