Nigeria hopeful about Eberechi Eze allegiance
Eberechi Eze is an attacking midfielder who plays for QPR in the Championship. The England born player has been handed a call-up by England for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifier against Albania.
Recall that a similar scenario played out during last international break which saw Nigeria lose Tammy Abraham to the Three Lions.
Eze is another player who plays for Queens Park Rangers and could also slip off Nigeria hands.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), president, Amaju Pinnick has said talking with the midfielder to switch allegiance to Nigeria.
The player has trained with the Super Eagles in the past for a friendly match against Burkina Faso in March 2017 which was later cancelled.
Pinnick he has been speaking with Eze's parent and Eze himself in order to make him see reason to play for Nigeria.
Pinnick claims Eze loves Nigeria and he cannot let such a promising talent play for another country.
Eze has scored 6 goals and has four assists for the Championship side.
