Why the Womens World Cup will be way more exciting in four years time
On Sunday, the USA comprehensively beat the Dutch women's team (2-0) in the world up final and the USA was crowned world champions yet again (CONGRATULATIONS TEAM USA!!).
Team USA celebrating their successive World Cup triumph
Although this was expected by many, there were quite a few positives for the Dutch that could be taken from this game, and indicate that the Dutch team will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. First of all, the Dutch team really held up well against the US despite having less rest between games. The Dutch held their opponents at bay for an hour, displaying a dangerous counter attack game that could (or perhaps should) have been lethal to the US.
Unfortunately, for the Dutch, they were not able to maintain the pressure and caved in when a penalty was given in the second half. From that point on, they were not able to muster enough power to overcome the deficit.
Now, while the game was not as tight as one would have hoped, there are many reasons why we can expect the Dutch team to come back with a vengeance in four years time. First of all, they are still a very young and inexperienced team that have only recently started to rise to the top at incredible speed. Their level allows them to be amongst the top in the world, bearing in mind that they have not reached their full potential.
The Dutch Team before the final.
The second, and maybe maybe even more important reason is that they're already bouncing back. If you look at the National mood back in the Netherlands, it is clear that their performance and their result is regarded an excellent achievement, and warrants further progression. This means that thousands of girls in the Netherlands are now motivated, and now Excited to participate in this wonderful game.
We know that the Dutch have a small country, but their infrastructure is outstanding. Despite relatively low numbers of participants, the Dutch field a number of extremely competitive women's teams that compete at the highest level.
Another good example from the female perspective is the Dutch hockey team, which have been and continue to be world class team in their own right as well as hand ball, Volleyball, Net ball and so on. So therefore, it's not unimaginable that with the energy and excitement that is now unleashed, and supported with the infrastructure already in place, this team will continue to grow from strength to strength.
Now there's one other reason why the Dutch will do really well. Because of its population size, good players will start to play with each other at a very early age, continuing to play for years whilst they're in development. That means that by the time they get into the Dutch National Team, They know each other and the system really well.
So I'm terribly excited with the outcome of the World Cup. Although I would have liked to see the Netherlands win, I think it would have been to soon. This year's result will spark the development of a team that will Dazzle in 2023.

I love how you are turning something negative (Netherlands loss) into positivity. Now that’s what I call transmutation.
You have great choice of words, nice vocabulary. I love how your writing flows and feels like I’m talking to you in person.
The only thing I would change is sourcing where you got the image you used from.
