Is Tottenham Back?

Their recent win against Crvena Zvezda was a superb performance from the Spurs. They seemed very calm and relaxed despite being visitors and the pressure is on them. Prior to that match, Tottenham only got 1 point out of two games and their match against Crvena is a must win for them to be atleast in the second position to advance in the knockout stages.

After series of tragic performance, they came out strong out of nowhere. Is this a sign that Tottenham is Back? I think so simply by looking at the players faces, they seem very serious about the match. Cohesion and passes were nearly accurate and the right players performed when they needed the most.

Others might say "they won because Crvena is not that great team" is a lame excuse. I know the club is not much of a caliber than Bayern but I believe they have the players who can compete. So for me, it isn't. It's just that Tottenham is on a different level this match. They seem hungry for the win.

Looking at the Premier League standings it seemed like Tottenham is in a very difficult position after 9 games. Twelve points in nine matches while Liverpool was able to get 25 points is something very difficult to catch for the title. I'd say they can still manage to be in the top four but winning the race? I doubt.

They will be tested in their next match which will be against the league leaders Liverpool who has yet to lose. Another problem is that the match will be played in Anfield. Let's hope for the best for Tottenham.

It's important not to get too worked up by a couple good or bad results. It takes a bit of time to truly analyze what is right or wrong about a team. It's so early in the season and there are up to 7 or 8 teams who can claim they have what it takes to finish top 4. There's only 2 that can probably not worry at all about it. My only issue with Tottenham (As well as Arsenal and Manchester Utd) is that their struggles pre date this season and go into last season. That's the kind of string of results that can cause concern. All 3 need to evaluate how things look once November internationals are over. That's when there is only club football for 5 months. That's show time.

I think keeping Eriksen out from the squad looks good to the team's adjustments
