Jeff Mcneil- Secret lucky charm on getting a homer!
imageJeff Mcneil is the leadoff batter for the New York Mets, and if we're talking about Mcneil I'm pretty sure some of the players hate to hear that name. After all, he is the least that they want to throw with his great skills in batting.
Because of his batting skills, he is called the "flying squirrel". Who would have thought that such a great player is getting a cute nickname right?
Lately, It's been a rough season for the team, but at least fans can be a little optimistic about something to liven the mood.
According to Santa Barbara, "before the game, he was having a little fun with a puppy and which made some good luck in his game which made him want to take the puppy."
"I got in the dugout and said 'We're getting a puppy.' I was pretty happy," McNeil said. "How could you not be happy with a puppy in your hands?"
It seems that Mcneil is very fond of the puppy, that he doesn't even want to ask for his wife's approval to get a new dog.
“a real man wouldn’t need to ask his wife for approval.” said Mcneil, "If my wife wants more homers, then we may have to get a puppy"
Well, this should be a new pre-game ritual worth watching for.
