New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone has unveiled a plan to run the starting lineup for the American League Division Series against the Minnesota Twins.

The Yankees will present James Paxton as the starting pitcher for Game 1 of the Division Series at Yankee Stadium on Saturday. Paxton, who moved from the Seattle Mariners to the New York Yankees after last season, has pitched in 29 games this season, with 15 wins and six losses. The average earned run average is 3.82.

Masahiro Tanaka will start in Game 2. Tanaka, who has 11 wins and nine losses (average earned run average of 4.45), was strong at home with eight wins and three losses (average earned run average of 3.10), but showed sluggish performance with three wins and six losses (average earned run average of 6.05). In order to maximize Tanaka's strengths, the team will present the game as the starting card for Game 2.
