Neymar's horrific injury run has seen him miss over a year of football

The name Neymar has become synonymous with injuries as the Brazilian has become too familiar with the physio’s room in recent years. This has led to him striving so hard to live up to his potential in Paris.

Among the many ways to describe Neymar, 'injury prone' has sadly become an all too familiar one of late.

The Paris Saint-Germain star will be sidelined for another one month after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty last week. And his fans are all too familiar with the sight of Neymar limping from the pitch, after an injury.

This should be the zenith of his career but since moving to PSG from Barcelona in 2017, Neymar has suffered one injury after the other and has therefore failed to live up to the lofty expectations of his world record €222 million (£198m) transfer fee.

He is now injured and might not be able to play for another month and with him already suspended from the Champions League, PSG will sail once again without Neymar as they battle with club Brugge on Tuesday.

It is a pity! since Neymar left Santos in 2013 as a 21-year-old, Neymar has suffered so much injuries and has been sidelined for a total of 469 days. But he can't be blamed. He has just been unlucky.

That's more than a year and three months of being stuck on the treatment table, that's pretty much. Yes you are right, pure luck is against him.

Neymar has not been able to deliver PSG their European dream, the same reason he was signed with an astronomical fee. Though I can see that the team has grown stronger and won some tournaments even in the absence of Neymar.

Neymar's injury run has so far prevented him from being able to make the difference but you will agree with me that whenever he's fit to play, he is so so impressive.

I believe Neymar will bounce back again after this one month. He's one great player who is billed for the top of the football game.
