Lionel Messi made a shocking statement about Mane being the forth on the Ballon d’ Or list.

Lionel Messi won the 6th Ballon D'or on the last event which made him the greatest in history. There has been some talk about the Liverpool star Sadio Mane being the right person to compete side/side with Lionel Messi, but he was the fourth despite his performance.

He helped Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League, and he did well in the Africa Cup of Nations. But they lost to Algeria in the final. Messi won the award with a little vote more than Van Dijk.

In Messi statement:

It is a shame to see Mane finish in fourth place.

But I think there have been a lot of great players this year. That’s why it was difficult to choose a particular player.

‘But I chose Sadio Mane because he’s a player that I like.

This little statement is very wide in my opinion. I love Messi's words but it doesn't give the award for Mane. He (Mane) said he will get the award next year, and I believe.
