Last week I added in all my bikes and I thought this week I would show off my shoe collection. I am not really that religious about brands, but I do seem to have a few running shoes in my rotation at any point in time. The picture above I think it includes all of them. Currently I am wearing a lot of Topo Athletic shoes...I like the minimal drop, but they still have a little cusioning, and I wear them constantly.
Inov 8 trail shoes. I don't do a lot of trail runs but when I do, these are the shoes I usually have on. They do a good job in muddy and rocky conditions and they are pretty comfortable on longer trail runs as well.
ASICS Gel Noosa. These are the shoes I usually race triathlons with. Stretchy laces to get on easily after a bike ride and they are cushioned enough for longer races as well.
Xero Shoes. Very minimal and zero drop, I use these when I know I am doing a lot of walking for the day, but usually don't do any running with these shoes.
General Training and Run Racing Shoes. Three pairs of Topo Athletic Magnafly, one pair of Topo Athletic ST-3 zero drop, Altra Torrin 5, Altra(Not sure the type), Hoka Bondi. Depending on how I am feeling, I will usually just grab what is there. For racing and training it will usually be one of the Topo Athletic running shoes on most occasions.
A lot there and I usually get shoes when they are on sale or discounted, and wear them until they fall apart so I usually accumulate a lot. I have actually had a lot more at some points in time. There are no real super shoes in there. I don't have anything against super shoes but I kinda figure I still have a lot more work to do on my endurance and strength to improve my race times. Maybe when I have exhausted all other options, I will look into them. They seem to be a lot more expensive than the shoes I usually go for as well.
Strava Activities For The Week Ending: 2023-06-05
Still a lot happening this past week. After a month of racing, I need to slow down a little as I am feeling a little sluggish at the moment.
