In March, South Africa, was on the brink of a national electricity blackout. And we are there again. Why? At the time, I said that the reasons are myriad and what one chooses to believe, also depends on to whom one listens. Now, it seems, we are getting closer to the truth: acknowledgement not just of the failure to follow through on routine maintenance, but also of the "success" of the project to systematically loot state owned enterprises through the project now known as "state capture"

A Walk In The Garden

No more exciting a stroll through gardens that look more like paradise.
These photos were taken at Jardim Amantikir in Campos do Jordão, a mountain town here in São Paulo

Sometimes you just have to stop... enjoy the view and let the stress of the day wash over you; and that's exactly what I can imagine doing while strolling through this garden!

Venturing Into The Heart of Sapa’s Village Life: A Change in Perspective

Rented a motorbike yesterday and took some ventures into some of Sapa’s smaller, more rural villages. It was nice getting outside of the city center, venturing a ways into some of the remote areas, where in the city, you would never see the types of things we saw. Bamboo huts with tarp overlays on the sides of winding roadways, rice terraces carved into the slopes of mountains, and farmers hard at work in the fields from sun up until sun down. This is real life in rural Vietnam

WHAT A spectacular view! @conradsuperb gives us an overlook view of this countryside from Vietnam. I think he picked the perfect way to tour the area too; by motorbike!
